Hedge funds worldwide continue investing based on predicting a decline in the US economy under Trump.

This is after watching Trump in the first weeks of his Presidency

The very rich are betting on a down market.

We will see where the economy is in 6 months.

These fools have been riding the big debt wave that's why. Trump cannot focus on the stock market, this is a structural change of the U.S economic system to ensure you have a sustainable system for decades, not a few years of fools gold based on debt passed on to future generations.

How much do you hear the media talk of Biden since he left? He should be missed if Trump is that bad, right?

The sky is falling! :p
YOu may be right, but personally I doubt it will be that bad. I've been shifting to a safer stance for the last few weeks, and I'm far from alone.

You have noticed that gold is shooting up, right?

Or do you not know what that means?

That’s what Republican presidents do: tank the economy.

Everyone can see the crash coming.
I hope it hits the housing market. I need to buy a house to retire in. I'd like nice big lodge on a lake up north.

And we were told for four years presidents can't effe t the economy

And yes, investors are dumping billions in green energy funds. Without government subsidies green energy is a liability, not an asset.

It's a conspiracy.

Trump's 25 percent tariffs against our friends to the North and South begin in a few hours. As do 10 percent tariffs against his hero Xi.

More than half of the oil we import comes from Canada.

Smart move, Trump.

So what you're saying is Trump isn't going to run up trillions more debt, yes?

Then why did he and co-president Musk demand the debt ceiling be entirely suspended?

A flight to safety. Always happens with commodities during periods of uncertainty and fear.

I made a killing off palladium during one of those periods.

15th post
I can tell you two companies the hedge funds should not short, and actually should go long.

Apple and Tesla.

They put a lot of "ill-gotten" gains in Trump's pocket to ensure they get exemptions from his tariffs.

Bet on it.

Literally bet on it.

It's as politically conservative as it gets to accept bribes and pick the winners and losers in a market economy.

Oh wait...

It must really, really piss you off Elon Musk's green electric cars get billions in subsidies, eh?

And yet there he is. DOGE boi! Hacking away at the competition with The Donald's blessing!

To be fair, that's precisely what a hedge fund is meant to do ... provide insurance in the UNLIKELY event of the markets going against trend.

It would be bad if hedge funds were betting on a bullish economy.
