If a vetted medicine shows promise, use it. That is pragmatic. Staying at home for months on end and not working is anything but pragmatic...it is an unrealistic proposition.

I might suggest you listen to a daily press conference sometime on Fox. I'm sure your favorite stations only give you out of context quotes. If you did, what you would see is he often calls on his experts to address many of the questions coming from the vultures.......I mean reporters.

Governors of both Michigan and Nevada have threatened physicians who prescribe hydrochloroquine. Both are Democrats. Both should be charged with practicing medicine without a license.
I don't understand the debate. The drug has known anti-viral properties, some of which we don't understand, and suppresses two dangerous aspects of immune response. Whether Trump, Satan or Mother Theresa suggested the drug should be irrelevant. Few of the scientists with graduate degrees from Google University understand the terms they are using, fewer still with any political position on use of this medication make any sense. The questions are, first, is the medication safe? Overwhelmingly, the answer is yes. Second, is the drug effective? The answer is a qualified yes. Observation has shown that it is effective in most cases. Some prefer to wait for years for the results of clinical testing to provide proof of effectiveness, and are welcome to do so. Those doing so for political reasons are foolish. There is no law against being a fool.
