My son works for a medical device maker. He has to deal with literally thousands of providers. All of them have different rules different payment procedures, waiting periods, return policies, copays and many require the use of special computer programs.
Of course medicare and medicaid are in that mix. I asked him how his company would be effected should we adopt medicare for all? "My God" he replied, "We could get rid of half our staff!"
