Shia LeBeouf Must Seek Professional Help Following Tirade Against Police, Court Rules

The ‘He Will Not Divide Us’ celebrity has been ordered to attend anger management therapy following a drunken, abusive rant against police who arrested him in June.

Transformers actor Shia LeBeouf has become one of the Internet’s most infamous celebrities following his escapades into the art world and political activism.

Briefly popular for appearing in Michael Bay’s Transformers films and the fourth Indiana Jones movie, LeBeouf has become notorious for his explosive anger and bouts of drunkenness, which have gotten him in trouble more than once.

Following his “I Am Not Famous Anymore” art tour, in which he wore a paperbag over his head, LeBeouf took to campaigning against President Trump with the launch of an art project called “He Will Not Divide Us.” He and other activists opposed to Trump chanted the words “he will not divide us” at a camera adjacent to a wall in front of a museum to be broadcast on the Internet.

Naturally, it became an attractive spot for members of 4chan to congregate, and for other attention-seekers to put themselves on display in front of an audience of millions online.

The art project, which was intended to stay for the duration of Trump’s presidency, was removed, and relocated elsewhere—where it became the subject of an Internet-wide game of Capture the Flag to find where the HWNDU flag was located and replace it with a flag of Kekistan.

In addition to the failed box office release of Man Down, which saw a total of one moviegoer in the U.K., all of the efforts to troll his HWNDU project exacted a heavy toll on LeBeouf’s psyche.

While on location for a new movie in Savannah, Georgia, LeBeouf was arrested for public drunkenness in June. At the time of the arrest, LeBeouf became abusive towards police officers, telling a black officer that he was “going straight to hell” because he was a “black man.”

When a white officer tells him it’s not a very nice thing to say about his colleague, LeBeouf responded with ever more anger. “It means a whole lot, bro,” said LeBeouf.

“A black man arrested me for being white,” LaBeouf added.

A video of his arrest, and his subsequent behavior towards police officers, was captured on video and shared later by TMZ...

...The 31-year-old actor pleaded guilty to a single count of obstruction, and no contest to a count of disorderly conduct. He pleaded not guilty to charges of public drunkenness. He must now enter anger management therapy for his bad behavior. In addition, he must serve probation for one year, undergo routine alcohol and drug tests, spend 100 hours of community service, and pay $2,000 in fines.
