When I had my laminectomy they had me watch several hours of films about the operation..

Well, my hip became dislocated last night in the hospital. Nurse taking my vitals, I shifted and I felt it come out.

Been sitting in pain, higher than hell on morphine, cause the pain is intolerable.

Waiting for the surgeon to put me under again.

Anyone here have that? Wasn't nervous, until now. The butterflies or whatever are kicking in.

It is an anterior supine total hip replacement.

I am an idiot and have been dealing with pain for over 10 years now. Playing a lot of golf....walking etc.

Over the last 4 years, it has become ridiculous.

Anyone ever had it?

Dont worry about it.
I was up and walking in a few days.
Going through the front like they do now rehab time is nil.

Yeah, I had that. Basically lived a sedentary lifestyle for 6 years.


There are reasons I was a bit paranoid of doctors, and it led me irrational fear. 1997, I was falsely diagnosed with lymphoma cancer.

I waited a week or so for the second opinion to get cleared.

I avoided doctors for a long time. Ignored my hip pain for a long time.

I have been ignoring my hip pain for 6 years. Keep telling my docs I cannot walk a long distance, can't do hills without a trekking pole, and it BURNS like mad even then. So far..in 6 years...no xrays have been ordered. They just shrug and say age does things.

While I share your distrust of doctors,hip pain is easily diagnosed and fixed without the ability to screw you.
