Have You Ever Had A Ghostly Experience?

i prefer to say spirits, beings or entities ... & yes i have.

An experience with a ghost is only credible if several people experience the same thing at the same time. One person can have hallucinations or be making things up.

SUBTOPIC: Credibility

(PREFACE)

Ghost Sighting Reports (GSRs) are often entangled with some sort of Spiritual belief or motivation. Spiritualism must be kept separaate. The use of the term GHOST implies a foundation rooted in scientific methodology must come into play. The credibility of a GSR is based on the reliability of the source of actionable evidence must be tested by investigatory and scientific methodology.

An experience with a ghost is only credible if several people experience the same thing at the same time. One person can have hallucinations or be making things up.
(COMMENT)

The meaning of "ghost" is separate and distinct from other apparitions or appearances that are either —induced or spontaneous phenomena. The term "ghost" implies the appearance of a disembodied and visually recognizable image of a deceased human. This is not to be confused with "Thoughtforms" and other (that appear to be) "Fully Formed Phantoms."

Metaphysically speaking, the GSRs that originate from a "Spiritualist" or "Medium" and the direct communication are seen through a seance or other contrived setting are highly suspect. Remember, the credible Metaphysical exploration of a GSR knows that if a "sighting" is involved, there must be a source of energy that triggers a biological sensory organ (the eye).

IF more than one person sees the exact same apparition or "ghost" simultaneously,
THEN there must be a common source of energy.

That is the "Reality" in our universe.

ghosts → There is no definitive or factually based definition for such an apparition (AKA: "Ghost). Some knowledgeable people on the paranormal side of the house consider such reports (phantasm sightings) attributable to: "mind projections." The layman often associates such phantasms with that of the deceased.

(COMMENT)

What is extremely interesting in this sighting is that (≈) ten (10) observers with an advanced scientific education made the same observation at the same time and place.

FOOD FOR THOUGHT:

• The eye is a bioelectric sensor (photosensitive). It detects electromagnetic energy in the visible light range of 780 nanometers up to 390 nanometers. This range is above the ultraviolet band and below the infrared band. The point being, that if you can see it, there is energy either radiating or reflecting off the suspicious sighting. That means it should be detectable by conventional scientific means.
• Test for a distinction between a "projection" from that of an "energy eminator." IF the observer(s) turns away from sighting, and turns back and re-acquires the suspicious sighting, THEN that is the first level indicator that suggest further inquiries are required.
• Interrogation and Reply: "So I said "hello Mr. Ghost I hope you enjoy our company.". Was there a response?

Another interesting implied association is in connection with the location. Is there an undefined location of the sighting and that of the interred (and entombed)? This leads the investigator to the inevitable question of "proximity."

What is it that you think you detected?

Pseudo science there is an afterlife and there has been interaction with some people. When you experience it you cant deny it

A voice from apparently nowhere perfectly mimicked my brother-in-law's voice. My wife heard it too. Didn't happen previously nor since.

Going further back I was at a party and someone broke out a Ouija board. I was skeptical. I wasn’t participating but I did pose a question. Select the first initial of my nephews in the order that they were born. The planchette, which was being touched by two people, gradually moved to R then to J and then to M. The names of my nephews in birth-order are Russell, Jeffrey, and Matthew. I never again messed around with a Ouija board.

Twenty years ago I had an experience with a ghost. I was the only person to experience it, even though there were five of us all in the same room, at the same time.

A friend of mine invited me to play cards at a ranch style house, owned by a friend of his from work. When I arrived there were about five of us. I'd never met any of them before, just the friend I already spoke of. The couple who owned the house were married. We were playing cards in the living room, on a card table, for about 30 minutes. The wife who lived there was watching TV with the volume down low.

Suddenly I heard a baby crying coming from the bedroom off the living, directly to my left. I already had three boys, and the youngest was three years old, so I'm intimately familiar with the sounds of a cranky baby crying as they wake up from a nap. So I casually told the owner of the house "Your baby's crying."

He looked at me wide wide eyes, "what?" I repeated, "your baby is crying." He looked odd and said "don't **** with me." I said a little confused "I'm not, your baby is crying in that room right there" and pointed to it.

Now he started to freak me out, cuz he said they didn't have any children. and suddenly the baby stopped crying. He begged me not be be messing with him, and he looked at my friend and asked "did you tell him?" And my friend said he hadn't said anything to me.

I was really confused at this point. then the owner of the house told me that "the people who lived here before we bought the house had a baby die in that room." He asked me about what age I thought the baby was, that I had heard. I thought it sounded like maybe a few months at most. And that was the age of the baby that had died in that room.

I've never seen a ghost in my life, and this was the only time I had experienced anything like this.
Yes. Though it wasn't in a ghostly figure per se and it happened just before I began university, something I will never forget. It was akin to an experience you'd see in one of those TV shows that you (or at least I) roll my eyes at, "yeah sure that happened", or I'm concocting an explanation. There was no explanation for what I experienced and how it was reinforced with a dramatic incident in the home (when I wasn't there).

There was no explanation for what I experienced and it went beyond visual senses to include smell and even touch (heat). It was a sort of premonition and warning which had to have been given to me.

From that point on I kept an open mind about G-d though I was still an Atheist. Once you entertain or experience the thought of paranormal or that which you cannot explain, you must entertain the idea of a higher power.

If someone told me that they experienced what I did I would have laughed as I am generally very clinical and deeply analytical, looking for explanations, I remain so to this day. I'm certainly glad I haven't experienced more than once or I would be committed lol.

Mar 1, 2023. Someone I know, a 24 year old with severe autism, died of renal failure. This was on Feb. 22 or 23rd. I was out for a walk and saw him walking towards me on a beautiful day in one of the nicest settings in town, a beautiful drive on a bluff with a river view below. Owen could not speak properly, so I could not stop and say anything, thought of taking his picture real fast but I could not bring myself to say anything as he walked past me. Felt bad thinking of sneaking a picture of him at that time, but I was also in shock at what I'm seeing. He never made eye contact with me, and Owen was the same way.

I told his parents about it, not sure if they believe me, I was afraid to tell too many people who also knew him that I know as I don't want them to think I'm a kook. He dressed, walked, and looked identical, I was certain that was him. I don't know why I saw him, we were not close, nor was I close to his parents. It was so weird and still is.

Periodically I find some ghost processes at my VDS and try to kill them or reboot all the server

I don't go in for this kind of stuff, but this happened:

I was at college in my dorm Sunday, April 13, 1980. My roommate was gone for the weekend. I was in a suite. My suite-mate's roommate was also away. At 2:30 a.m., he knocked on my door and asked if he could sleep in my roommate's bed because he got a terrifying feeling in his room. I found this a bit odd for a college-age guy, but I said sure. At 9:30 the following morning, I got the phone call from my mom that my dad who had had terminal cancer had died during the night. The time? 2:30 a.m.

Coincidence? I hope so. I wouldn't want my dad's passing to be reflected in a negative frightening experience for someone. I've asked myself stuff like "Was that a warning for me?"
