Hated back then and still do.

Beets.
My parents tricked me as a kid and said they were jellied canned cranberries and took a huge bite.
Can't even take the smell of those disgusting things.
Put even a single olive on a pizza and I consider the entire pizza ruined.

I like liver n onions, and fried chicken liver, but peas are disgusting, and haven't had them in almost 40 years.

Fried yellow squash...can't stand it either...yuk....

Hot Oatmeal...just looking at it makes me want to....throw up..... Yet, I love oatmeal cookies? :dunno:
I hate oatmeal but love it made from quinoa and millet with almost milk. Sweeten it with maple syrup and vanilla extract.
My parents would have liver and onions but did not make us eat it.

Eggplant is disgusting.
Went to another kids house for lunch and his mother served boiled eggplant.
Took one bite and started gagging. ...

That is hilarious.
Boiling is NOT how you best cook eggplant.

First of all, it is very astringent, and you have to slice it thin, salt heavily between the layers, and let it sit under a weight for at aleast a few hours, preferably overnight, in order to neutralize the heavy astringent chemicals.

Second is that the best way to cook eggplant is to batter and fry it in oil, until crispy.
Then all the astringency is gone.
Then it tastes much like an omelet, only crispy.

have you ever tried egglant parmesan?
For many eggplant is a texture thing, not flavor.
Bonzi cannot eat eggplant without gagging. The taste is not it, it is the gelatinous texture.

If soaked with salt first, then rinsed, battered, and fried, the texture disappears.
