It’s perfectly legal and the money was given to the Biden/Harris ticket, not each separately.



It wasn’t exactly the voter’s choice. When the incumbent is on the ticket, the party traditionally supports him and won’t throw their support (and massive campaign dollars) behind another candidate. You can have others on the ticket, but they are usually weak and fall away. Look at Trunp’s primary in 2020 for example.





Meh. I’m not a member of any party. But, I now see why you guys are so upset Biden dropped out, you wanted a “crushing” “total” defeat (and therefore a mandate) and instead your guy barely won with the one of the thinnest margins of victory in 60 years and one of the lowest approval ratings fora new president. Considering Harris had only a few months to develop a campaign and sell herself to America, I’m impressed she did so well. The Dem voters seem happier with her than Biden.



Parties CAN and do. There is no law against it. I don’t see the Dems complaining nor their voters. In fact, the only ones who are seem to be Republicans.

I'll just say this: Fascism is all about the nation over the individual. I can see the nationalism but I don't see the denial of individual rights and freedoms. Trump isn't a bigger gov't, DOGE is all about shrinking gov't size and scope. He isn't a big supporter of the 1st Amendment when it comes to his opposition, but then neither are the democrats in that regard and for a long time before Trump came along.

The other thing is the use of force, physical violence is something that fascists use but I don't see that with Trump. The only difference between Jan 6 and the BLM and Antifa actions was time and place. He's not beating the hell outta progressive liberals, right? So there's a lot of things I don't like about Trump and his actions to date, some of which are authoritarian in nature but he is not a fascist. He's a bully and an asshole, and it's good that much of what he wants to do is being challenged in the courts.

It confounds me…both what they are enabling and the inability to see they are setting precedents that should a similarly ruthless morally compromised Democrat…all this would be turned on them. For an ideology that is supposed to be about freedom, rights and law ….well, it isn’t anymore.

I’m not seeing it in the populace but who knows? This clear empowerment of the wealthy, disempowerment of the middle class and working class (who will eventually realize this isn’t about them at all) is a recipe for REAL class warfare and a rise in REAL Marxism as a remedy. Trump has openly have destroyed or attempted to destroy every agency involved in ethics and accountability within the government and Executive branch, stopped all investigations of fraud, corruption, monopolization etc. involving his oligarchs and set himself as the single arbritor, judge and jury.

Against this blatency, who would blame the left for going down this road?

The extremes on the left involve expands inclusivity and equity from the bottom up while the right constricts it from the top down. That is a fundamental difference. Fascism and Socialism.

How did Fascists come to power? This is interesting, because it tracks what has actually been happening.
