Zone1 Has Disney ruined Star Wars?

Hey! I got an idea!

Lets put in these cute, cuddly Ewoks and all the kids will want one.

Actually, the original plan was to put the story on Chewbacca's homeworld and make these people Wookies.

Then George Lucas realized that if Wookies were fairly sophisticated in that they could fly spaceships and such, that really didn't work for the plot he was going for, of a primitive people fighting against a technologically advanced Empire.

And frankly, it was heartbreaking when that one Ewok tried to wake up his dead friend.

What everyone misses about Star Wars was that it was in some ways an allegory for Vietnam. (The first movie coming out only 2 years after it ended.

Who was the Empire?

Star Wars has always sucked
Yeah, it should be over quickly now...the question then becomes, can Disney's virtuous past and reputation save/rehabilitate the franchise, or will this version of the franchise continue Disney's downward spiral.
Poorly written, ridiculous dialogue, bad acting.
Even the Disney version?
A vehicle to sell toys.
and Disney
They have been milking that franchise for 50 years
So Disney has taken it upon itself to put an end to the franchise?

Very much so, and the movie was pretty much a rehashed rewrite of the first movie. The plot was the same, but let's trade the less cute Jawa's with teddy bear looking Ewoks and give them a more prominent role also.

Star Wars fans have been complaining that Star Wars has been "ruined" since Return of the Jedi. They complained that the movie wasn't as good as The Empire Strikes Back. They complained that the Prequel Trilogy wasn't as good as the original trilogy. They complained about the Sequel Trilogy.

There's just no making those people happy.

It's like the people who bitch that Doctor Who and Star Trek are too "woke" now, when these shows always had liberal sensibilities.

That's all true.

Lucas ruined it before Disney got their grubby mitts on it...

Who was the Empire?

Actually, I think the US was, in George's telling of it.

When you come to think of it, the Ewoks were little cannibals... They were ready to eat Luke and Han and Chewbacca until C3PO told them not to.

So you have to wonder what they did with all those dead Stormtroopers.

"Hey, guys, we're set for winter!!!"
"The shells are a little tough but the insides are good eating".

Dr Gay Black Who in a skirt killed the Dr Who IP.

Ahhh... he didn't help. I think it was a terrible case of casting. The overnight rating just hit a new low for the series for the season premiere.

You see, a lot of people were happy when Russel T. Davies came back. He was the guy who did the relaunch in 2005 with the Ninth Doctor, Christopher Eccleston, and the Tenth Doctor, David Tennant.

I kind of suspected it would be a lot worse than that. He wasn't allowed to plaster the show with his message the first time because some grownups at the BBC told him he couldn't.

Over at Torchwood, where he had more free reign, he made a show that was hitting you over the head with the gay stuff.

So when he was allowed to do whatever he wanted this time around, he made it gayer than an Oscar Party.

That said, a lot of damage had already been done to the show by Jodie Whitacker and Chris Chibnall.

Progressives love the woke gay stuff. Normal audiences do not.

Hayden Christenen is a LOUSY actor. And how does a 6'4" large build Darth Vader with black hair as depicted in Return of the Jedi, come from a short, skinny blonde headed man??

He used the Force
