Harry Truman, Quo Vadis?

The Democrat Party is sycophants led by psychopaths hypnotizing the weak minded peasants.

This generation of Leftists is a reflection of where our public education system went after Joseph McCarthy's attempt to purge Communists out of our schools.

"So, let's go over what has occurred.

With very little effort, I have proven that the brainwashing and indoctrination that you have suffered is....

....alas.....

....indelible.

Or, at least, that you are not strong minded enough to break free.

So sad." [end quote]

These weak minded people are the same ones who can be easily Hypnotized.

You display the very surest and best evidence of acutally being brainwashed. Anyone foolish enought to be suckered into stereotyping all the people in an opposing political ideology as being brainwashed are themselves brainwashed. It is a method used by propagandist to prevent you from questioning their authority. It leads you to believe your opinions are based on intelligent analysis and logical conclusions while the other guys simply believe whatever they are told by their masters. The truth is that brainwashing propagandist are key on all sides and spectums of the political landscape. The left is no more susceptible to brainwashing than the right. Critical thinkers are on the left and the right. It is the exstremist who are found to be the easist and most commomly brainwashed, whether on the left or right.

Awright....I'll accept that as 'quack'.....

so you're down to the childish game of, am to, am not.

Keep trying to flatter me PC, but you still get a bad mark for not doing your assignment.

No, I don't consider people who disagree with me to all be brainwashed.

Time to wish Truman a Happy Birthday!

Yup....today, May 8th....

...1884

Harry S. Truman, 33rd Pres (1945-1953), born in Lamar, Missouri. He was the first President to take office in the midst of a war. He was the first President in 50 years without a college education. For the first time a President shifted the nation from a war footing to a peacetime economy without suffering a depression.

He issued a 21-point message called his Fair Deal, calling for full employment, and other economic powers.

In foreign policy, he issued the Truman Doctrine to curtail Russia, and announce the Marshall Plan.

In 1948 he issued a civil-rights program to end religious and racial discrimination.

Minutes after the state of Israel was announced, President Truman recognized the sovereignty of the nation over the objections of his Secretary of State George Marshall.

The big problem in evaluating the Truman administration is the pop-culture media's historic perspective. Once you wade through the non stop knee-jerk "give -'em hell Harry" propaganda rhetoric there isn't much substance left. Truman's defining moment was the Korean Conflict but the fawning drooling democrat party media dodges their responsibility to criticize Truman (and MacArthur) and get's away with calling Korea "the forgotten war". Truman committed Troops to Korea without consulting congress. It made Korea Truman's war and he failed so badly that he couldn't even muster enough support in his own party to run for another full term.

Historians since 1962 have rated Truman between 7th and 9th, best American president. If Truman made one mistake it was following FDR, but Truman did something FDR should have done and didn't, fire MacArthur.

Self described "historians" are a dime a dozen. Thanks to Korean Vets, Americans saw through the media propaganda after Korea and democrat polling data indicated that Truman didn't have a chance for re-election so he dropped out of politics. MacArthur's ego trip and monumental racism (I know the Oriental mind) turned victory into an embarrassing truce in Korea. Truman finally got enough gumption to fire the old WW1 warhorse after his (mental illness?) rhetoric included threats to nuke China but "historians" (read media personalities) still gave him a ticker tape parade and pop-culture still promotes his legacy.

Korea may be the last war that America accomplished what it set out to do. Republicans threatened to impeach Truman once or twice, not too unusual for Republicans. The historians that are invited to rate the presidents are considered the best in the nation. In the last rating it was 238 of America's most noted and presidential experts that rated the presidents. These presidential ratings by historians began in 1948.

America accomplished what it set out to do after the Inchon landing. The war was over after desperate fighting and American heroism ....but wait. MacArthur ordered Troops into the biggest ambush in history and Truman did nothing to stop the maniac. The losses in Korea are staggering for three years. About 50,000 KIA.

Sometime presidents get involved in the military strategy, even at times the tactics, and often overrule their generals. Lincoln did it FDR did it, perhaps Truman was unsure of himself and may have left MacArthur alone too long. If Truman had overruled MacArthur on military tactics as Mac advanced up that peninsula it might have been political suicide. Mac was a big figure in America and was touted as a candidate for president on the Republican ticket.
Truman should have fired him earlier and FDR that had the clout should have left him on Bataan. Satisfying MacArthur's ego cost thousands of American lives, but in the end was a political risk firing MacArthur but Truman did it.

MacArthur was a hero according to the mainstream media but he was never a real GOP headliner. In the greatest Country in the world the military is run by the people. Truman assumed responsibility for Korea when he issued an executive order that put boots on the ground. Truman not only committed political suicide but he committed negligent homicide when he let the "old soldier" who never even spent a single night in Korea order troops on an ego trip after the mission was accomplished. The media covered for Truman but Americans knew what happened. As an old Marine Corps Vet. I was interested in a recent Smithsonian channel cable story about the Chosin breakout. I was surprised that Smithsonian was critical of MacArthur and even used words like "racist". Smithsonian however was careful not to mention Truman.

A famous passage in "Witness," by Whittaker Chambers, continually bears remembering: "You don't understand the class structure of American society," said Smetana, "or you would not ask such a question. In the United States, the working class are Democrats. The middle class are Republicans. The upper class are Communists."

Harry Truman had to confront this truth.

Keep trying. This doesn't work.
Why is it your posts are never any more incisive than a thumb print? Put a little effort into it. Oh....I get it. You just can't think of anything to counter the facts with..........and the 'thumb print' is one step up from grinding your teeth. Stay with it, Jakal.....throughout the day, I'll build this thread to show how Truman reversed Roosevelt's obsequiousness to Joseph Stalin. ......if you dare.

Toying with your nonsense, PC, is not daring, just fun.

Your OP is silly, and your argumentation is worse.

In the incredible manufactured myth that is the Truman legacy you almost gotta laugh that he is still accused of harboring communists while his HUAC was the primary enforcement in the war against communism. But ...wait a minute the Hollywood liberal establishment with the cooperation of the liberal media created their own counter-counter Truman legacy by blaming a big mouth member of the senate minority for the entire uncomfortable anti-communist legacy.

Truman was a racist senator from missouri who went on to do more for civil rights than FDR!

You say that as if it were a high bar to pass. That fucking scumbag fdr was no champion of civil rights. He trampled on (or rolled over) the rights of Americans every chance he got.
