Beannachtaí na Féile Pádraig oraibh (St Patricks Day blessings to you all).

This is a traditional Irish Blessing for y'all... whether conservative, or liberal, American or not, whoever you are, wherever you are.... (I've even written it in English to make it easier for you to read.:lol:)

I wish you not a path, devoid of clouds,
Nor a life on a bed of roses.
Not that you might never need regret,
Nor that you should never feel pain.
No, that is not my wish for you.

My wish for you is:
That you might be brave in times of trial,
When others lay crosses upon your shoulders.
When mountains must be climbed,
And chasms are to be crossed;
When hope scarce can shine through.
That every gift God gave you
Might grow along with you.
And let you give the gift of joy
To all who care for you.
That you may always have a friend
Who is worthy of that name.
Whom you can trust,
And who helps you in times of sadness.
Who will defy the storms of daily life at your side.

One more wish I have for you:
That in every hour – of joy or pain – may you feel God close to you.
This is my wish for you, and for all who care for you.
This is my hope for you, now and forever.

And: for those of you who are American, but have been given the gift of Irish blood, Remember:

Is é is beannacht a bheidh le Gaeilge, ach a bheith ina Mheiriceá an Ghaeilge a beannacht speisialta go deimhin.

(It is a blessing to be Irish, but to be an American and Irish is a special blessing indeed)

Happy St Paddy's Day.

Erin Go Braless!!

Happy St. Patrick's Day to my Irish brethren and all you one-day posers.

Chicago Irish.

Funny how many people suddenly find they're Irish... once a year. To those imposters, we say: Go n-ithe an cat thú is go n-ithe an diabhal an cat. (May the cat eat you, and the devil eat the cat)

Tis true, but some of us are more Irish than others (thanks Dad!).

Happy St. Patrick's Day, USMB!

I thought everyone was Irish on Saint Patricks Day?

Everyone claims to be Irish, but many are imposters. This morning, my Mom put a video clip of me and my twin (aged 7) doing 'The Walls of Limerick' (that's a traditional Irish dance) on her facebook.:redface: She is in so much trouble for embarrassing us. She thinks it's hysterically funny. She's evil.

Happy St. Pats day. I'm part Irish on my Moms side. Yeah doggies.

Two day celebration at Meg O'Malleys down here in Melbourne, FL.

Thank you California Girl. :) And for you and the USMB posters:

"May the Irish hills caress you. May her lakes and rivers bless you.May the luck of the Irish enfold you.May the blessings of Saint Patrick behold you."

Irish Blessing
