I show some love to my dog every day that spoiled brat. We walk by a neighbor who's dog is pretty much on lock down 23 hours a day and I tell him he doesn't realize how spoiled he is. He goes to the doorwall and whines, we go out. Or at least I let him out on the long leash. I work from home since covid. I go into the office 2 days a week sometimes and honestly I like the break from him. I assume he sleeps good too when I'm gone. I'm constantly finding new/different places where I can take him to walk off leash. My bro has 65 acres he runs around on. During hunting season he doesn't like it that he's on lockdown while we are hunting but boy is he happy when we come get him to help us track a deer.

I live on a lake so every day, if he wants, he goes swimming. My neighbors all spoil him with treats.

Dog's don't live long lives so they should live good lives.

I personally enjoy the company of a well-mannered, good-tempered dog.

But I (a) don't want to have to pick up and store his poop, and (b) don't want to be bothered with attending to its needs every time I want to leave my house for more than couple of hours, and (c) don't know if I am willing to tolerate the expense of keeping it healthy, feeding it, and grooming it.

Best to have an adult child or close neighbor with a good dog, so I can enjoy it from time to time, with none of the bother.

Parenthetically, isn't it queer that Presidents feel that they have to have a dog, to be considered "normal human beings"?

my dogs are house broken...on occasion ernest t decides he doesnt like to get wet and will break the rules....i have land and can leave my dogs out..they are trained to "stay to the house"

semba and ernest t are reasonable....loki is not...he prefers to have me in sight at all times....he has been beaten in the past and doesnt care for men...hubby is a man

semba has eye issues...he has lost an eye already...he sees an eye specialist outta charlotte...we are lucky he comes up the mountains once a month...and yes the prices are what you might expect....semba is seen monthly...

my neighbors dog attacked ernest t. i am sure his bull mastiff wondered up the drive way and ernest t. went all bad ass....bad move...since the bull mastiff weighs in about 120....ernest t...about 20 lbs...luckily he was not killed just wounded...vet said it was hell of a large bite....but i didnt see it or hear it ...so i couldnt call my neighbor and *****...but his great dane got aggressive with one of the other neighbors ....i have never seen any of them be aggressive but i dont have trouble with most dogs...except ******* chows...they will bite with no warning...

o and never get me started on my dogs...as you can see....i dont stop
