i plan to spend the day alone....as i have done every father's day since my dad died....

My father died on Father's Day. So while my children honor me today, I can't help but be a bit melancholy on this day.

My father died about a decade ago. But even now, subconsciously I don't accept that. When I run into an real mechanical can of worms at work, it seems my first thought is, "Wait until I tell Dad about this one!". I simply cannot comprehend growing up without a Father in one's life.
