I know this won't make a huge statistical difference, but not everyone who is a "mega gun owner" bought all their guns.

It was well known in my family that I loved guns, but I only had one shotgun, one rifle and one pistol. Well word got around to family and friends and as relatives would pass away, if nobody wanted them, they would give me their guns. Over time I acquired a dozen firearms, only 3 I bought. So that survey would be skewed making it look like I was a "gun nut" when it was just donations that I was taking to keep guns in the family rather than selling them, like family heirlooms.

I disagree with the long prison sentences. When a criminal goes out and MURDERS someone else then that person should not get life, but taken out of society forever. That means with todays forensic science no mistake could be made for the person to be on DEATH ROW and 1 appeal. After that, off with the head, hang them till dead, death by firing squad, electric chair, don't care. When you put someone away for life, then for the rest of their lives, they are trying to find a way to escape. When removed permanently from society, he cannot be a repeat offender.
