The democrat party is subverting democracy with "Super delegates". These delegates don't represent the voters...they get to throw their support to whomever they want. That is why half of Hillary's delegates are not earned.

The DNC is stealing democracy like the GOP, with the "Representative republic" con job, just like the "electoral college" has done, overruling the voters in the general elections.

Ah man i was with you, if only you hadn't thrown in the Republican canard.

The truth is they can run their nomination any way they want. I don't like either so i am not registered as either.

Glad to see you acknowledging this.

The Republicans do it in a less open way....but they still do it.

You don't see it, it has not effect as does super delegates, but it still happens? Really? If the nomination comes down to a brokered convention i might agree but until then there is no comparison.

Hillary is well ahead in pledged delegates, hence the superdelegates will mean nothing.

And most Democrats don't like the idea of superdelegates. We're just acting like grownups about changing the process, instead of screaming conspiracy theories.

It was pretty damn funny that Bernie won New Hampshire by a wide margin and the Hildabeast walks away with more delegates.

That's democracy in action.

thats what really pisses me off about parties. They have a monopoly over the process. IOW's- the game is rigged

Nope. Hilary leads in regular delegates by a pretty wide margin. And the Super Delegates always side with the winner of the regular delegates.

Worse for your 'subverting democracy' horseshit, not a single Super Delegate has cast a single vote for any candidate.

Worse still, you know all of this.

Lol, Dems acting like grown ups? That will be the day. You change the definition of "grown up" so that it applies to you and only you. How very immature of you.

Except that she didn't. As no Super Delegate she 'won' in New Hampshire has cast their vote. And can change it at any time.

I agree with the OP, it's not fair at all. If a majority of voters want Sanders, then he should get it. That said, I don't really believe that Sanders would get more votes than Hillary anyway, so the argument it kind of hypothetical anyway.

Both republican and democrat party loyalists keep trying to defend their corruption....That's why so many of us are voting for "anti-establishment" candidates this year. Now their are more INDEPENDENTS than in the GOP or the DNC. Both parites are going the way of the dinosaurs.

What 'corruption'? Show us one super delegate that has cast their vote for Hillary this election season.

Just one.

Yes she did. Hillary walked away with more committed delegates from New Hampshire than Bernie. The system is corrupt.

Except that she didn't. Show me a single super delegate from new hampshire that has cast a vote for Hillary.

Just one.

One can only hope.

G.Washington saw the corrupting influence of parties and he was right

Showing Hillary with 1100 delegates influences the voters and you know it. Quit trying to pretend the the dems are so squeaky clean. They are just as corrupt as the GOP....that's why Ralph Nader wasn't allowed to debate in the past. Both parties have the game rigged.

Absolutely it influences voters. And that's why the Super Delegate system exists. To grant the Democratic party some influence on the nomination of their own candidate. Ads influence voters. Endorsements influence voters. Debates influence voters.

And none of them are a 'stealing democracy' or whatever other melodramatic nonsense you've called it. Super Delegates vote with the regular delegates. With Hillary far ahead on those as well.
