^^two different ones, doing truly nice Haiku^^

Thanks for an unexpected day-brightener, pbel and percysunshine.

What a time to be outta reps.

I write haiku often on little "post it notes" that somehow appeared out of the blue after an upgrade. I never could figure out how to find my lost computer info to get word going, so after a couple of years, never wrote or printed a single letter that I didn't go online to my board and print off. Few people frequent it, so it's my printout place shared with a fellow internet traveller who's one of the best special services man the USA ever had.

Anyhow, for everyday, I just type out my little haiku and post it here and there, just wrote this one after finishing a quilt today:

Sorry for bending any ears, I try to keep this in 17 syllables, 5-7-5, but sometimes a special occasion arises, and it is good to see 2 others trying their hand at something I've been doing for 15 years, jotting smeared haikus on my purse notebook, the backs of bills, torn envelopes, and even the sanctum sanctorum of the quilt notebook int the sewing room, :lmao:

Here goes another jotted quickly, then postponed awhile visiting other threads. I've been so jazzed about sewing a series of turquoise quilts this week with 3 completes <huge grin>:

Earthquake

Earthquake shook last night

feeling jolts like no other

and shaking a leg

Seismic waves will come
Earths crust fragments to pieces
New land always forms

Awful stench abounds,
fumes ignited by the phrase,
"Pull my finger, Son."...
