Man shot dead by armed attackers during raid in Shepherd's Bush
A young man was shot dead after armed attackers stormed a west London flat in the early hours of the morning, police said today.
The victim, 28, was found unconscious in the second-floor flat in Askew Road, Shepherd’s Bush, with fatal injuries at about 2.40am on Saturday morning.
A post-mortem carried out yesterday revealed he died from a bullet wound to the chest.
Detectives now believe “a number of men” forced entry to the flat before shooting the man dead, and have urged for witnesses to come forward.
Neighbours this week described the second-floor flat, which sits above a closed down beauty parlour, as a known hotspot for drug dealing in the area.
Detective Inspector Domenica Catino from the Met’s Homicide and Major Crime Command said: “We now know that a number of men forced entry to this residential address before attacking the victim and fatally shooting him dead.
