Too many children of wealthy parents who didn't have to work for much, didn't have to fight a war or face adversity, too unconcerned with the ideological struggles of the recent past, who have happily sold out to whomever and for whatever the highest bidder offered.
No skin in the game for politicians today, as few have military service. Ditto for their kids. Too many banking and retiring from politicians with a massive pot of gold and waterfront property and no fear of an agency investigating them or daring to prevent them from selling out America.
All of this equates to hungry enemies who want the same personal economic success, but, they have little history of liberty, a defended constitution or ideals that spawned out of the Renaissance Period. They also know they have a large, faceless, unpatriotic foreign target in which to influence, purchase and convert (where needed).
Yes, as America goes, so goes the defense of what made the world free and worth living in. It's all on you guys, sorry to say. I think for all his imperfections, Trump was a reasonable choice to fight the expansion of Americas biggest rivals. It's no coincidence that as soon as Trump lost, the E.U agreed to a free trade agreement with China.
Trump definitely wasn't shy about speaking truth to power and having so many view the failures around us more clearly and honestly. The Middle Class is gone in Canada, it will be gone in the U.S soon in good time. You have too many who foolishly bought what SOME (not all) in Canada have been selling.
