I should have known. I went to school at UCSD and spent a lot of time at San Diego beaches.

American citizens have abandoned California. Illegal aliens are replacing them.

Years ago, my father accepted a job in beautiful California. Unfortunately many there take a lifestyle so foreign to me it wasn't easy to accept staying there, so leaving was not hard 5 years later. However the entertainment business is big there, and the weather attracts a lot of people, and I think it is the largest state population wise. I wish the state's people well, and health is pretty good on account of its lovely weather and its long western coastline is pleasant for swimmers, surfers, and marine lovers.

Huntington Beach, How are the rip tides there? I had a Syrian friend who was swept out and ended up at Laguna about at the end of His ropel

RIPs in HB are not bad. I free dive / snorkel Laguna Beach often, too. I've picked up a few tourists while surfing over time that got caught and didn't know to swim parallel with the beach until they were out. I often look for one to make the paddle out easier. The only time a rip in HB should be really dangerous is during a big swell or storm. 99% of the time, there are so many lifeguards and surfers in the water that people are pretty safe if they do get caught. They often will close a section of the beach with a rip.

Yes... or as it's called, "Old Man's".... such a nice easy wave that is great for Long Boards.

I've also been on the Nuclear site, before it was closed, many times. They were a customer.

The Wedge

The Wedge! It's a rite of passage for OC Surfers... I've not surfed it in years, but my son and wife have also been out at the Wedge... on so many days, it's super sketchy.
