Greenland

There is much false information out there concerning Greenland, and the observed melt. Here is the real information;

It's the normal thing, they go around looking for things that back them up and them pump it massively, but they never look for actual facts. They'll never get into a proper discussion about it.

8 American warplanes crashed landed in Greenland in 1942. 46 years later in 1988, they were found buried under 260 feet of ice.

Explain that.

So far not any real information from anyone connected to the AGW cult..

They love to put out false information to support their religion.

But then again the magnetic field has more to do with climate change than the mythical CO2 which has never affected climate.

CO2 is mythical huh? Are you serious?

The Oceans are warming because there is too much CO2 going into them. The PH levels of the oceans are changing and this sudden drastic change is going to kill a lot of species, because their habitat is changing too quickly for them to adapt.

I wish Oldcock would move to Greenland and give us daily reports.

From the NSIDC:

"Overall, however, reduced melting and heavy early springtime snowfall may result in a net increase in Greenland’s ice mass this year for the first time this century."

You go ahead and believe the cult dogma rocks...it is so much easier than thinking for yourself.

Wildfires hit Greenland after record temperatures
August 14, 2017

Some wildfires in western Greenland have been burning since the end of July

Police in Greenland warned people to stay away from western areas of the island as wildfires scorched swathes of scrubland.

In a statement, the police said it "still discourages all traffic –- including hiking and hunting –- in two areas around Nassuttooq and Amitsorsuaq."

"The fires are not expected to end within the next few days," the statement added.

Some of the blazes have been burning since July 31.

Denmark's meteorological service BMI said the island registered its hottest-ever temperature of 24.8 degrees (77 Fahrenheit) on August 10.

Last year was Greenland's hottest on record.

The Danish territory has lost about 4,000 gigatons of ice since 1995, British researchers said in June, making ice melt on the huge island the biggest single contributor to rising sea levels.

Record highs for 2017. SSoDDumb, you get better every day. LOL

Hey snowflake ...

The magnetic field has swapped a buttload of times.

Each time, it's had zero effect on climate. As usual, the data says you're a fraud who just making up crazy stories.

But then, honesty is not an option for your fanatical liars' cult, and all the actual data says you're full of shit, so faking everything is the only option left to you.

I didn’t know snow and ice could burn. Good to know.

Well, presumably they were buried and then they were found..... what's your point?

It's hard even to know whether you're criticizing the OP's position or supporting it.

Presumably, global warming is melting Greenland, yet planes landed their a mere 46 years prior to 1988 and were then covered with 260 feet of ice. Where is the melting?

Well, it'd take a lot of understand of stuff like science.

Like, how it snows. Then the snow builds on the snow and then on the snow, and if the plane is at the bottom of all this snow, then snow falls on top of it. Then it melts and melts and melt and then there's a plane at the bottom. Complex stuff.

Yep. Very complex.

I could not find the post where "they" state how ignorant everyone is because "you don't know the difference between Climate and Weather".

My personal favorite. Guess I am early.....

Well, you wanted to know something simple.

As stated in the video, AGW increases the amount of snow because the warmer air hold more water vapor. That means more snow. However, there is another season called summer. And, in that season, the snow on the lower elevations melts, and the glaciers shed giga-tons of ice into the sea. More giga-tons of ice than falls as snow. So Greenland is losing ice.
