I personally believe there's a better solution than the current proposal. There are likely vast portions of Greenland that are completely uninhabited. America could buy or lease areas that are far from the inhabited sections of Greenland and set up military bases. America could satisfy her desire to fend off Russia or China while leaving Greenlanders' current lifestyle, standards, and system of governance undisturbed.

This one is really funny though..... Greenlanders who actually think they can just live on one corner of the globe and mind their business completely and be left alone to nurture their own particular identity.
