The idiots on the Left refuse to acknowledge the fact that the SAT and ACT have evolved significantly over the years to excise any questions that manifest any "cultural bias," thus completely neutering the claim that the tests were biased against people of Black African ancestry. Nobody has been able to identify even a single question as an example of "cultural bias" in at least thirty years. The tests are fine.

Further, any rational, disinterested observer would look elsewhere to explain a racial discrepancy in merit-based admissions at this point. If EVERY MAJOR SCHOOL DISTRICT IN THE COUNTRY reports a "racial achievement gap" for graduating HS seniors - and usually it is a significant "gap" - how could any rational person expect to see SAT/ACT scores that reflect anything other than a large white-Black gap?

As always, one must wonder if the Left is stupid or just evil. What EXACTLY is accomplished by admitting sub-par fresh-persons, displacing fully-qualified Asians and whites from the so-called student body?

Rich kids can afford courses from The Princeton Review or Kaplan to assist them with SAT scores. The playing field is not level.

Colleges are paid before entry. When costs get too high to afford, students borrow or transfer.

It's an op ed with a bias against standard tests. There's no denying that the SATS are imperfect. And there's no denying that a homogenous student body is not necessarily the best for the educaiton of the whole, nor is it likely to contain the most deserving applicants. But the question is what's better.

Its A LOT easier to get admitted now, which is why a degree from there wont mean as much.
