The groups that government spends the most on are: children, the elderly, soldiers and criminals. I wonder why that is.

What difference does it make? People who want government money can always come up with some excuse for getting it.

Go to your nearest state prison if you want to see the shining results of welfare "maximizing potential." 70% of the inmates there are the illegitimate offspring of mothers who got pregnant without being married and who went on Welfare. The number one cause of crime in this country is Welfare and the resulting illegitimacy.
