Clarifying an Existing Law has been done for as long as we've been a nation.
It's called "Executive Order".

Since humans always have, I'd go with tradition. Why should anyone try to use religion to deprive others of equal rights?

The law ius basically a duplicate of the federal RFRA. It is not a grant to discrimintae, but rather a defense should a bakery as an example, decide not to make a wedding cake for homosexuals. Simple as all that.
Now I like that the LWNJ's believe that a homosexual baker, as an example, should be forced to make a cake for a group that believes homosexual 'marriage' as a corruption of marriage. Yeah, the LWNJ's would force the homsexual baker to do that, not.

I love how conservatives obsess over a cake
What an insult to your religion being forced to bake for all

No one is obsessing over this law, except the left. The law is basically a duplicate of the federal RFRA, does not authorize discrimination, but offers a defense, as with the federal RFRA.
But people who believe because of their religion that homosexual marriage is an evil should be forced to bake a cake celebrating a homosexual "marriage"? That is what you are obsessing over, government compelling someone to do something against their religious beliefs.

It's isn't, but it can be useful for keeping the pitchforks and slaves in line. Who created us they ask? God. What is the purpose of life they ask? To serve God. How does one serve God? Make babies and plow the fields. And lo and behold, they stop asking questions and away they go. Works like a charm.Since humans always have, I'd go with tradition. Why should anyone try to use religion to deprive others of equal rights?
Sounds like religion ain't a good thing.

This "clarification" is in effect a hidden apology for being a tool of Right wing religion mongers with "attitude" ...guess what Governor Pence you severely damaged your state economy in order to maneuver yourself for Presidential aspirations by getting wing nut creds...its too late to apologize ...its too late ...
So what ? Anti-LGBT discrimination SHOULD be legal. What's more it should be the law that discrimination against queers should be required, in cases where the sex perversion could be harmful to people, especially children.Fox News Dishonest Defense Of Indiana s Anti-LGBT Religious Freedom Law Blog Media Matters for America
Unlike the federal RFRA, Indiana's RFRA contains an extremely broad definition of "person" that includes organizations, corporations, or companies that are: "compelled or limited by a system of religious belief held by an individual or the individuals; who have control and substantial ownership of the entity, regardless of whether the entity is organized and operated for profit or nonprofit purposes."
As Buzzfeed also reported:
The Indiana bill is broader than federal law. While the Indiana bill says that a "governmental entity may not substantially burden a person's exercise of religion," it also applies those rules to businesses and interactions between private parties "regardless of whether the state or any other government entity is party to the proceeding."
Portraying Indiana's RFRA as benign legislation identical to the "bipartisan" federal law isn't just inaccurate journalism. It is a part of Fox's larger role in promoting the narrative of Christian persecution to support the passage of a number of state RFRAs now being considered in states across the country. Expect to see Fox continue to misrepresent RFRA as a harmless law protecting "religious liberty" while ignoring the fact that these bills are actually the product of powerful anti-LGBT organizations lobbying to legalize anti-LGBT discrimination.
Discrimination against queers should not only be authorized, it should be mandatory, in many cases (teachers, military, police, coaching, counseling, massage, doctors, etc)[

Wow, dumbass. You can't comprehend that giving someone a legal defense of their discriminatory acts is exactly the same as authorizing discrimination?
whoa.
It should be welcome and Indiana authorities should see to it that it is respected and adhered to. How did we even get to a point where discrimination against queers is somehow thought of a anything other than a necessary thing ?Backlash Continues: Angie's List Cancels Indiana Expansion
First Yelp, and now Angie's List is making clear that it is "hugely disappointed" by Indiana's discrimination law, signed this week by Republican governor Mike Pence. The web service for reviewing businesses announced today that it has yanked an Indianapolis expansion project from city-county council consideration. The company said it had been just days from breaking ground on the project.
"We are putting the 'Ford Building Project' on hold until we fully understand the implications of the freedom restoration act on our employees, both current and future," said Angie's List CEO Bill Oesterle in a statement. "Angie's List is open to all and discriminates against none and we are hugely disappointed in what this bill represents."
The chairman of Yelp, a competing business review site, had earlier condemned the Indiana law, which among other effects will let business owners refuse service to LGBT customers by claiming it offends their religious beliefs.
"What is happening in Indiana is pretty unbelievable," wrote Max Levchin, who also co-founded PayPal, on Twitter. "However it’s dressed up, it’s a signal that discrimination is welcome in this state."
