I've heard this song played a couple times locally here on the radio. It's a bluez'y song with a heavy beat and harmonica in it, sang by a black guy, and he say's over and over in it, "she asked me why", and then he say's, "so I went on and told her", and that's about it for lyrics. But the song is cool.

Anybody know it?

Try Junior Wells, harmonica, heavy beat - like foot stomping.

Is this a newer artist or old fart?

I did a quick Google search and I think I have the answer to the mystery..

The name of the guy is "R. L. Burnside" and the name of the song is "It's bad you know"

He used to record for "Fat Possum" records and died about 9/1 of last year at the age of 78.
