I'm not usually interested in guns, crime, law and order, real life drama stories, but this guy is an excellent story teller/presenter. Lays out the facts with lots of humor.

They were in a neighborhood, with lots of people around.

Dragging it out as long as they did was beyond stupid.
When the public is at risk, you become a skilled surgeon...you get in, do exactly what needs to be done to remove the cancer, and then get out. You don't stand there and play verbal games for hours and hours and hours, forcing people to barricade themselves in their homes because you can't be bothered to put a bullet in that fuckers head, or lob a cannister of teargas into his house to drive him out and then pop him.

Just because these guys were police for many years, does NOT mean they have a clue what the hell they are doing, much less (and obviously) no clue how to handle it.
