Christianity teaches that only followers of Jesus will enter Heaven. Are you a Christian?
Does it though? There is one line in the Gospel of John that alludes to that - but what about the other 3 Gospels, The other books of the New Testament, the Old Testament and so forth?
Jesus taught about being "spiritually righteous".
Matthew 5: "20 I tell you, if your righteousness does not exceed that of the scribes and Pharisees, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven."
He also taught the Beatitudes.
Matthew 5:
Blessed are the poor in spirit,
for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
4 Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.
5 Blessed are the meek,
for they will inherit the earth.
6 Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for justice,
for they will have their fill.
7 Blessed are the merciful,
for they will obtain mercy.
8 Blessed are the pure of heart, for they will see God.
9 Blessed are the peacemakers,
for they will be called children of God.
10 Blessed are those who are persecuted in the cause of justice,
for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Matthew 7:
21 “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my heavenly Father.
Jesus again speaks about "doing the will of his Father in heaven" -
becoming "Spiritually Righteous".
Matthew 9:
12 When Jesus heard this, he said, “It is not the healthy who need a physician, but rather those who are sick. 13 Go and learn what this text means: ‘I desire mercy, not sacrifice.’ I have come to call not the righteous but sinners.”
This passage seems to acknowledge that there are "righteous" people who Jesus did not come for - he came to heal "sinners" - through Mercy.
