Also, note that God only said there was no light where the earth is. Not the entire universe. So, it also says what I said, "And the spirit of God" is what is light. I once talked to a Christian pastor who thought as you did. He privately thought the notion of "demons" to be laughable.

But later he encountered someone who, lets say, exhibited demonic characteristics. The kicker for him was she began to levitate and he got the hell out of there.

I suppose it is one of those things where you tend to disbelieve it exists until that no longer is an option.
