Globalization (NAFTA, CAFTA etc) does nothing but benefit a few investors who go outside the country to take advantage of cheap labor and loose environmental laws, while 95% of the rest of America suffers. That international outsourcing is other countries stealing our jobs away, and having the workers of those jobs then spend their money in the overseas country, thereby benefitting that country's economy, instead of ours (as it would have been if the jobs stayed here).
That international outsourcing is really fundamentally, no different than the DOMESTIC outsourcing (AKA immigration & visas), where the other countries' workers come here, again rob the American people of jobs, and the money the foreign workers earn gets spent in their foreign countries, helping that country's economy, not ours (because they send/wire it there in remittances - $123 Billion/year)
The only thing different about the international outsourcing (which some people mistakenly label conservative), and the domestic outsourcing, which is favored by liberals, is that with the domestic kind (immigration), the jobs involved are the type that can't be done outside the USA. They can only be done here (construction, landscaping, janitorial, hotels, etc) Either way, it is a departure from the traditional value of having a strong industrial base here in America, that we can rely on to give us jobs, to pump $$$ HERE into our economy keeping it strong, and to have the industry needed to fight wars to PROTECT America.
This is the great America we (those of us old enough to remember) grew up with, it is the traditional America we need to conserve, and that part of it that we have lost, we need to take it back, and make it great again.
