Zone1 Glenn Beck on Pope Francis

That's nonsense. Every organization has bad people in it who do bad things counter to Jesus' teaching, but why single out the Catholic Church when its pedophile problem is no worse than that of any other church or organization? Nearly all the cases were 40+ years ago, yet we ignore the many organizations including that CURRENTLY have a pedo problem. In terms of abortion, the RCC, including the late Pope has never wavered from the pro-life position. I don't understand why you do the Marxist left's dirty work for them.
The haters of the Catholic Church, FOR THIS REASON, never see the HUGE problem our government schools have with this problem

Ungodly human society is built on such problems. Everyone is in on it. Instead of executing them they are given a slap on the wrist and soon released. So, the wrist slappers and releasers are as guilty as the peds. Instead of permanently removing the rotten apples, they just waited until their offenses were forgotten then tossed them back into the barrel.

I liked Pope Benedict.
.

So did God. This is what happened when it was decided he'd retire.

Earlier this morning, Pope Francis passed away at his residence in the Vatican’s Casa Santa Marta. He was 88 years old and riddled with health issues. His replacement will likely be decided in the next 15 to 20 days by a secret conclave of cardinals, who will vote until a candidate secures a two-thirds majority.

As the world braces to find out who’s next in line, Glenn Beck has a story to tell — one that mainstream media would never dare to touch.

He keenly recalls the day Francis was announced as the next pope following the resignation of Pope Benedict XVI — a “staunch conservative,” who “stood for everything the modern world wanted the Church to abandon.”

Benedict “had moral clarity; he was a traditionalist and a spiritual authority,” Glenn reflects. However, it didn’t take him long to figure out that “Pope Francis was going to be none of these things.”

As the media speculated about who would be next in line, pundits brought up Francis, formerly known as Jorge Mario Bergoglio, and claimed they knew very little about him.

However, “Within 10 minutes [of the announcement], everybody on every network started talking about how great he was going to be” and that “he was practically Jesus,” says Glenn.

That’s when he could see the writing on the wall — “They like him,” which means “this guy is going to be a nightmare.”

This is the canary in the mine shaft. If the world loves the new Pope like they loved Francis, watch out!

John 15:18 ;“If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated me first. 19 If you belonged to the world, it would love you as its own. As it is, you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world. That is why the world hates you. 20 Remember what I told you: ‘A servant is not greater than his master.’ If they persecuted me, they will persecute you also

Unfortunately, Glenn Beck truly believes what he says - and in part, I can see where a conservative Christian could feel the way he does - but ironically, if Mr. Beck would follow his own advice - what he stated towards the end of his rant - "people need to think for themselves or else they will become slaves of others thinking for them" - or something along those lines.

What Glenn Beck fails to realize is that if the far left liberal media is propaganda for "the deep state" - the far right conservative media becomes the conspiracy theory counter to the "deep state".

Deep state? Throughout history politics has always had influences - whether it be through genuine means or other - to say that there has been an organized "deep state" influencing and/or controlling the known world - well - I'm sorry to let the cat out of the bag but human beings simply can't agree enough on such a massive scale for it to be possible.

Now what you see with your eyes has happened - the media has become progressive - but that is through the evolution of the world - no "deep state" needed.

The only real "deep state" that is occurring now is based on you.

Every time you use your phone, your tablet, your PC, or anything that gives information - you are giving information - the information you give feeds various algorithms that are intended for marketing purposes - they want you to see the ads that will most likely influence your buying decisions. Capitalism only cares about money and profit by design - it couldn't care less about your politics or meth induced conspiracy theories.

THIS is the world that hated Pope Francis - and he spoke up against it many times.

A Pope who is persecuted because he "would be like Jesus or Saint Francis"
.

LET THAT SINK IN.

Don't skip past all the Pharisees he was friends with.

if you really need an analogy for the mythical MAGAS at the time
of Jesus---that would be the Sadducees

Actually - you're both right and somewhat wrong - in a way.

The Sudducees were the among the Jewish sects that did not believe in miracles, the super-natural and so forth. The Pharisees, on the other hand, did fully. The Pharisees seem to get the majority of the blame when it comes to those who accused, persecuted and doubted Jesus, his works and his followers.

In all likelihood, when Jesus was accused of "driving out demons by Beelzebub" it was likely by the Sadducees. Jesus was considered a Rabbi and had many advocates within the Pharisees. It's through 2000 years of biblical interpretation, ignorance of specific Jewish sects by early writers and so forth, that almost every translation speaks solely of Jesus having disputes with the Pharisees - when in realty, in all likelihood, the majority of his disputes were with the Sadduccess - with the actual support of some of the Pharisees - hence the reason he was able to "escape condemnation" a few times.

I've always held the personal opinion that it was less about being Sadducee or Pharisee and more about being part of the inner circle around Annas and Caiaphas (high priests) who held a lot of power at the time and cooperated with Rome.

ACTUALLY---you got a little bit of it right---but missed the major issue. The Sadducees were
in cahoots with the Romans and the Pharisees not only rejected Rome but fought violently
against Rome.----- who "HATED" whom? ----Rome and thus Constantine hated the Pharisees
and crucified them wholesale. Rome got along with the Sadducees and actually placed
them in high offices -----like CAIAPHAS---the Sadducee high priest----appointed by Rome.
Well----whether you believe it or not----Jesus was a Pharisee----his overturning of the
tables of the money changers was the act of a PHARISEE----and made him a Pharisee hero---
The "KING OF THE JEWS" thing at the top of the cross is just about the TRUEST part of the
"passion play" Jesus had Pharisee friends and lots of admirers----he was even interred in
the family tomb of a Pharisee ------for the record---John the Mikveh man was a Pharisee too which is why he ended up dead. I realize that your sunday school lady would not agree. It is
hard to give up the lessons of childhood.

Everyone wants to be around Jesus?

Why then did everyone forsake him when he went to the cross?

In fact, why did he go to the cross in the first place if he was so beloved?

And before you say it was because of the evil MAGA government and religious institutions, remember, the average voter voted to send Jesus to the cross instead of a proven murderer.
Kinda like a slight majority of voters decided to reject Harris instead of a proven felon.

I've always held the personal opinion that it was less about being Sadducee or Pharisee and more about being part of the inner circle around Annas and Caiaphas (high priests) who held a lot of power at the time and cooperated with Rome.

Both Annas and Caiaphas were Sadduccees - Jesus was not (likely) a part of "their inner circle". (Don't believe shows or movies based on nothing other than - the easiest way to dramatize a story).

The Sadduccees were despised by most of the common people and the Pharisees alike. They were associated with "the elite/rich class" within society - flaunted gold, silver and other possessions as a way for them to gain favor with God. The Pharisees, on the other hand, were associated with the middle/lower classes and lived simple , working lives, devoid of riches.

Could this be why most of the Gospels refer to the Jewish religious leaders as Pharisees but in the Gospel of John, Jesus' accusers are referred to simply as "Jews"?

John 10:

Once again, the Jews picked up rocks to stone him, but Jesus said to them, “I have performed in your presence many good works from my Father. For which of these works are you going to stone me?” The Jews answered, “We are not going to stone you for any good work you have done, but for blasphemy. Even though you are a man, you are claiming to be God.;Jesus replied,

“Is it not written in your Law,
‘I said: You are gods’?
If those to whom
the word of God was addressed
are called ‘gods’
—and Scripture cannot be set aside—
how can you say, ‘You blaspheme,’
to the one whom the Father has consecrated
and sent into the world
for saying, ‘I am the Son of God’?
“If I am not performing
the works of my Father,
then do not believe me.
However, if I am doing them,
then even if you do not believe me,
at least believe my works,
so that you may realize and understand
that the Father is in me
and I am in the Father.”
They again tried to seize him, but he escaped from their clutches.

It is clear that Jesus is making his case in front of "unbelieving accusers" - the same type of accusers who hold the Law in highest regard (adding dozens of rules of their own) but ignore most of the (miraculous) works of the Prophets. (The Sadduccees).

The fact that he was able to "escape their clutches" screams that he likely had help from other Jewish leaders (The Pharisees - who would have helped him out of spite of the Sadduccees alone).

All this said - this is just my opinion - an "educated guess" based on 40+ years of devout Bible study. :)

You are free to believe the Nicean news report which emphasizes the Roman POV and supports the gloriou AUTO DE FE "BURN 'EM ALIVE" (da jooos) program of the HOLY Roman empire. I see it for what it is---2000 years of oppression and murder on an utterly idiotic vicious libel.
Adolf was brought up on it---Magda believed it with "perfect faith" The muslims love it even
as they deny the whole crucifixion story as utter bullshit (believe it or not----the NT was written
for one purpose----guess what----TO DENY THE BEAUTY OF THE KORAN---think PRESCIENCE)

Never said--or thought--Jesus was. I was saying those who were against Jesus were most likely part of Annas and Caiaphas' inner circle, and those who saw Rome as the buttered side of their bread.

No, it was not. The vast majority (if not all of it) was written hundreds of years prior.
