Ok…who was the local state attorney?

Who was the local state attorney?

The AG doesn’t prosecute criminal offenses you idiot.
A state attorney general is the chief legal officer of a state, responsible for acting as the state's top lawyer and law enforcement official. They represent state government agencies, enforce consumer protection and environmental laws, handle significant criminal prosecutions or appeals, and provide legal advice to state officials.

Of course the State AG has prosecutors under them, but they move under the AGs lead. The AG was a republican.
Holy shit you continue to be more and more idiotic

No, the AG office and State attorney office are two different offices

State attorneys don’t answer to the AG

The AG office does not prosecute cases, they handle criminal appeals.

State Attorneys are elected just like the AG is

the State attorney prosecuting Epstein was a Dem, elected by the people of Palm Springs

You are way over your head here dembot

Registration Data: A widely cited study by professors at the University of Pennsylvania and Stanford University found that in some states, such as New York, felons registered as Democrats by more than a six-to-one margin (61.5% Democratic vs. 9% Republican).

You're sorry.

Well the Gigilo Beach killer admitted in court yesterday that he was the serial killer after all. He changed his plea after they dug up all the victims and matched DNA from a Pizza and a victim. Crazy work. It was a netflix documentary. Good to get him off the streets after 30 years of murders.

"'He and I didn't share the same politics,' she said. He was a Republican, and a Donald Trump supporter."

"She pointed out that instead of him giving out bonuses, he would offer his timeshare property that was located in Las Vegas, North Carolina or Vermont area."

"And she unknowingly drove Heuermann's 'kill car' - a green Chevrolet Avalanche.

'When he'd double park the truck on the street, he'd tell me, "If a cop comes around, you've got to move the truck."'

The man accused of being a serial killer who targeted women on Long Island over the course of nearly two decades admitted to eight killings on April 8, according to reports.

New York architect Rex Heuermann, 62, was arrested in 2023 in connection with the Gilgo Beach murders, a case that had long stumped investigators and became the subject of a 2020 Netflix film.

Multiple sets of human remains were found in the area in 2010 and 2011, leading investigators to suspect a serial killer was responsible for the deaths. Officials said a key break in the case came more than a decade later when they matched DNA from a pizza Heuermann ate to a male hair found with the remains.

Heuermann initially pleaded not guilty to the murders of seven women whose remains were found in the area between 1993 and 2011. He changed his plea during a court appearance on April 8 and admitted to the gruesome killings, BBC and News 12 reported.

I am never supposed to judge people and am required to remain unbiased in my work but from the minute I first laid eyes on this guy he made my skin crawl. I had seen some of the true crime airings about the missing girls and the recovered remains and I was not the least bit surprised when they announced that he is in fact the person who murdered them.

I heard him quoted as saying "he didn't think anyone would care/miss them" (paraphrased) and it brought about memories of the documentaries I've seen of the Green River Killer Gary Ridgeway, telling the King County sheriff deputy that he thought we was helping them out ("doing them a favor" [paraphrased]) because the almost 60 women he murdered were sex workers as well.

I think these types of attitudes are partially why the Epstein victims can't get any traction. One of the Gilgo Beach killer's victims had moved to or began interacting with a company in New York due to launching her "modeling" career yet ended up engaging in sex work. A very familiar refrain.

Human depravity like this is unusual, luckily, but when it manifests itself for all to see like this, it is genuinely frightening. He chose victims he not only thought were disposable, he thought the rest of us thought they were disposable too.

This brutal serial killer will spend the rest of his life in prison without the possibility of parole.
Of course, New York does not have the DP.

Personally, I'm not really for the death penalty. I think rotting in jail for the rest of his life is actually worse than a quick and easy execution.
