Getting ready for Snowpocalypse 2026

So now we have it in Pittsburgh. The official forecast for Snow-mageddon is.......1"-3".

But it will be cold as the proverbial witch's teat in the meantime. Of that they are quite certain.
.

It's currently -19° where I'm at and most of the schools are closed.

.

it's warmed up to -38 already. It's comfortable outside because there's not much wind.

.

Yes. I spent most of my adult life in Seattle and loved the city. Breathtaking beauty when the sun came out. It started going right straight downhill about twelve years ago, when hubby and I decided we'd have to move out of our beautiful home in Fremont because the drug sellers were parking their run down RV's just too close, and making all their wares available to our neighbors' children.

Is it true it rains a lot there?

^ We went south and not California and enjoy sunshine, warm temperatures and I an out of all that darkness.

I’m on the east coast right now, and have talked to people who moved here from California. They said they missed the Four Seasons, and felt there was always something to look forward here. Like Spring, and the first crocus.

We have four seasons, but some years spring is about a week and a half of glorious gray.

People act like winter has never occurred before.

Pacific Northwest has two seasons -- wet and construction.

We really enjoy the four seasons in the Midwest.

Heard tires spinning outside so I got dressed up all warmy and went and pushed him out. Thankfully it had warmed up to -35

Just saw a guy give up on starting his car. It'll be taxi or catch a bus

Gotta go out and start the car every once in a while when it's really cold or the battery will drain.
