The US has not fought a war for territorial gain since the 19th Century and the Indian wars

China is illegally attacking its smaller neighbors as we speak precisely for territorial gain

Uh, we invaded Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya just in the past few decades.

And that's not entirely true either. We seized The Phillippines, Puerto Rico as part of the Spanish American War.

We annexed Hawaii, which was a sovereign nation in 1899 ,

We annexed the Mariana Islands, Caroline Islands, and Marshall Islands after WWII.

The US Deep State lied to bush and cheney about WMDs

And thats what bush told the world

Was/is W a damn fool?

Yes

But a liar?

I dont think so
Maybe Bush was lied into the war. I don't think Cheney was. The American establishment knows full well what is and was going on. The American elite exploits a controlled chaos technique to prolong the current political and economic model of the world.

The American people were lied into the Iraq War as they are lied into every war. W and Cheney were the liars along with the entire establishment. They love. Nothing generates more wealth and power for the elite than war.

Actually the US financial system is built on some system resembling racketeering. What happens to an average American if (when?) the dollar collapses in half and most of securities get to be worth their real value (a pile of used paper).

The US is a warrior/hegemonic empire. It is a big arms dealer continually promoting war around the planet.

What happens is like all warlike empires, collapse is imminent. The problem this the neocons (psychopaths) in charge want to continue American hegemony at all costs. So, a nuclear Holocaust could be our future.

I don't believe in nuclear holocaust because the main goal of every syndicate is wellbeing of its members, not collective suicide.

But what really can happen is the end of the dollar era. But I doubt you will be too glad to witness that.

I hope you’re right, but suspect you aren’t. The elite will be safely protected in a nuclear exchange, plus they’ve long desired reducing the world’s population dramatically. They may see it as a win-win. Continued American hegemony with a much reduced population.

Don't worry about this quite questionable stuff. Worry about your savings.

I’m not worried about a nuclear holocaust. I have no control over it. I do worry about my savings.

Again, we go around the world dropping Bombs.

The Chinese go around the world building roads.

China encourages free trade, the US threatens tariffs.

he United States and China are fiercely competing across domains—including in global public opinion. The 2024 presidential election will have a crucial impact on perceptions of U.S. leadership around the world, and the next administration would be well served to consider how global audiences viewed the United States and China during the Trump and Biden administrations.

Under the Trump administration, international approval of U.S. leadership fell to a historic low, with confidence in President Donald Trump roughly on par with confidence in Chinese President Xi Jinping. Trump’s exit from multilateral institutions like the World Health Organization and treaties like the Paris Agreement, restrictive policies on immigration, and aggressive use of tariffs alienated U.S. allies and non-allies alike. Global views of the United States and China worsened during the COVID-19 pandemic by 20 percentage points and 16 percentage points, respectively.

The return of U.S. global engagement under President Joe Biden and his administration’s emphasis on strengthening ties with allies and partners boosted confidence in U.S. leadership. But with the outbreak of the wars in Ukraine and in Israel and Gaza and concerns about U.S.-China competition, global views of U.S. leadership have dimmed, with confidence in the Biden administration sliding from 58% in 2022 to 43% in 2024. China has narrowed the gap in favorability in the Global South and particularly in Southeast Asia. These developments are concerning as the United States’ soft power—that is, its ability to inspire cooperation among partners who admire U.S. values, culture, and vision—has been indispensable for maintaining America’s leading position in the international arena. As such, there is a pressing need for the incoming administration to reaffirm American global leadership and to strengthen the United States’ reputation as a force for peace and stability.

Taiwan isn't recognized by the UN as an independent country, it's recognized as part of China. So according to the UN, the Taiwan Straight is Chinese territorial waters.

Yes, China will win it's conflict with Taiwan eventually, because Taiwan is in a demographic death spiral. By 2100, it will have less than 10 million people.
Don't think you'll have to wait until 2100, odds are real good if Harris becomes president, the Chinese will take advantage of her weakness and niavete.

Why is this my problem again?

Taiwan and China arguing over what kind of government they should have isn't really my problem. It's not your problem. It's not Americas problem.

US Allie.....our problem when they stop providing crucial items due to military intervention.

No, we need to produce those items domestically, which Biden and Harris are taking efforts to do.

The problem is, we are allying ourselves to a place that we don't actually recognize as a country. Our official policy has always been One China, recognizing Taipei from 1949 to 1979, and Beijing from 1978 onward.

And how are you going to defend your allie? Bringing back the draft and sending your troops to fight against China? Or, like in Ukraine now, slowly fueling this war by sending outdated and sometimes junk equipment once in a while and waiting when China wins by sheer numbers?

That will be up to the sitting president.
Harris will never be able to defend the country.

You don't have your own opinion and wait for directives what to say or do?
