Georgia Senate Passes Sweeping Bill That Attacks Voting Rights

Funny, those twisty HuffPost headlines ...

Nice to see states re-asserting their authority in these matters.

The bill would end no-excuse absentee balloting, which was pushed by Republicans when it became law in 2005. Voters who are eligible to vote by mail under the bill would be required to submit a photo ID and have their ballot signed by a witness in order for their vote to count.

Georgia Senate Passes Sweeping Bill That Attacks Voting Rights

Republicans pushed the no excuse absentee thing thing through in 2005. In 2020 about 2/3rds of the mail in vote went for Joe Biden, so now they wanna change it. This is a clear cut case of voter supression.

I know you leftist must lie to yourselves to keep your narrative but it's been explained to you hundreds of times. A mail in vote is not an absentee ballot. It must be exhausting lying to yourself to promote your agenda. No wonder leftists are so angry all the time.

How do people register to vote without an ID?
How do people open a bank account without valid ID?
How do people cash a check without valid ID?
How do people rent anyplace to live without valid ID?
How do people drive a car without valid ID?
How do people purchase liquor without valid ID?

How do poor people get CASH ASSISTANCE without ID?

Its the biggest bunch of shit. If you have no money, the state gives you cash. This CANNOT AFFORD ID is a lie. Its a fucking lie. A huge huge huge fucking lie.

I can afford one. I will never get one. I will continue to vote.

You don't drive? Have a credit card? No bank account?

Do you sit on the street and shake a tin cup all day?

I have no clue what you are ranting about. The sad part is neither do you.

Ranting? I'm chuckling at your mildly-amusing bullshit.

Au contraire. The Democrats - as is their habit - took a good thing and perverted it into a criminal enterprise to further their own ends.

You just can't get passed the idea isn't being cheap. It's about the Constitution.

Article ll, Section l of the US Constitution, clearly states the State Legislatures are granted the power to determine how elections are conducted in their state.
A properly qualified result supported by verifiable data, is necessary to ensure every legitimate vote is tabulated.

.

It also states that the Federal government can over ride those rules and no one can charge someone to vote.

Just highlight where it says the Federal Government can override those rules?

The executive Power shall be vested in a President of the United States of America. He shall hold his Office during the Term of four Years, and, together with the Vice-President chosen for the same Term, be elected, as follows:

Each State shall appoint, in such Manner as the Legislature thereof may direct, a Number of Electors, equal to the whole Number of Senators and Representatives to which the State may be entitled in the Congress: but no Senator or Representative, or Person holding an Office of Trust or Profit under the United States, shall be appointed an Elector.

(The Electors shall meet in their respective States, and vote by Ballot for two persons, of whom one at least shall not lie an Inhabitant of the same State with themselves. And they shall make a List of all the Persons voted for, and of the Number of Votes for each; which List they shall sign and certify, and transmit sealed to the Seat of the Government of the United States, directed to the President of the Senate. The President of the Senate shall, in the Presence of the Senate and House of Representatives, open all the Certificates, and the Votes shall then be counted. The Person having the greatest Number of Votes shall be the President, if such Number be a Majority of the whole Number of Electors appointed; and if there be more than one who have such Majority, and have an equal Number of Votes, then the House of Representatives shall immediately chuse by Ballot one of them for President; and if no Person have a Majority, then from the five highest on the List the said House shall in like Manner chuse the President. But in chusing the President, the Votes shall be taken by States, the Representation from each State having one Vote; a quorum for this Purpose shall consist of a Member or Members from two-thirds of the States, and a Majority of all the States shall be necessary to a Choice. In every Case, after the Choice of the President, the Person having the greatest Number of Votes of the Electors shall be the Vice President. But if there should remain two or more who have equal Votes, the Senate shall chuse from them by Ballot the Vice-President.)

The Congress may determine the Time of chusing the Electors, and the Day on which they shall give their Votes; which Day shall be the same throughout the United States.

No person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President; neither shall any Person be eligible to that Office who shall not have attained to the Age of thirty-five Years, and been fourteen Years a Resident within the United States.

(In Case of the Removal of the President from Office, or of his Death, Resignation, or Inability to discharge the Powers and Duties of the said Office, the same shall devolve on the Vice President, and the Congress may by Law provide for the Case of Removal, Death, Resignation or Inability, both of the President and Vice President, declaring what Officer shall then act as President, and such Officer shall act accordingly, until the Disability be removed, or a President shall be elected.)

The President shall, at stated Times, receive for his Services, a Compensation, which shall neither be increased nor diminished during the Period for which he shall have been elected, and he shall not receive within that Period any other Emolument from the United States, or any of them.

Before he enter on the Execution of his Office, he shall take the following Oath or Affirmation:

"I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my Ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States."

I don't give a rat's ass if you are on your phone or not ... And nothing was left out.
You cannot highlight what you suggested was contained within because it isn't there you ignorant twat ...

People have problems interpreting the Constitution when they want to suggest it says something it doesn't.
Requiring someone to prove they meet the stated requirements in no way violates the Constitution.

Show us examples of people who want to vote but cannot afford an ID.
Voter ID is not the only way Republicans try to suppress votes...

For example....you can push Voter ID; then at the same time push to close offices to get ID's in the areas you wish to drive down voter participation.........

Or how in North Dakota where for no fucking reason other than trying to suppress the votes of Native Americans (who do not tend to vote Republican) -- your ID wouldn't count if you didn't have a residential street address...which people who live in rural reservation areas don't have......

Or.......when all else fails......just lie to try to suppress the vote.....

At the end of the day; what is clear to everyone that when it comes to trying to limit voter participation; ONLY ONE PARTY IS DEVOTED TO IT.......and it aint for voter security......never has been

Show us examples of people who wanted to vote in 2020 but could not.
I can show you examples of people WHO ALREADY VOTED in 2020 and then had conservatives try to throw their votes out...and those conservatives lost.....

I can show you examples of how losing elections made a bunch of reactionary right wing cucks storm the capitol because of it

What voting rules would like to see in place? What should it take to prove your identity so you can vote once and also makes voting secure. Lay out Biff’s election.

We are already doing it. Just because you refuse to acknowledge the facts and are pissed you lost doesn't change that.
which is what?

Your analogy is just as bad as your inability to own the fact, conservatives hate high voter participation because they know they lose..and their policies suck....

Fuck everything else you yapping about

You can say my analogy is any number of things ... But I have already established you are an ignorant twat.
.

You've established you're an ignorant twat.
you lost that battle since an insult is all you got. address the posters post.
