George Wendt Dead at 76

Rest in peace.

It was a great show. A reminder of how fast time flies. This might as well be the Honeymooners to a younger generation.

The nurses that helped take care of my wife didn't know what "Cheers" was.
Yep, doesn't surprise me.

It's like seeing people react to music online and they don't know a song from The Beatles or Jimi Hendrix but they will often say "I see people wearing the shirt with their name on it so I know they are famous".

That's life I guess. Just as some people can't name more than a song or two from Frank Sinatra. How many can name a song from Robert Johnson from the 1930s?

I'm always curious to find good black and white movies or even music before my time, but most just rely on what's marketed I guess.

Norm!

I'll have to drink a beer tonight.

A toast to the life of George Wendt.
"May he be in Heaven before the devil knows he's dead"

(This is a very well-known saying whose origins are not readily apparent. As the informant noted, much of Irish culture has been appropriated or exaggerated for an American audience, who generally associate Ireland with leprechauns, fairies, beer, potatoes…cultural touchstones that do not truly represent the full extent of Ireland’s history or contemporary present. Research suggests that this blessing does indeed have very strong ties to the Catholic religion.")

Beer drinking is a big part of america. Its god ordained. Lol
