Georgia mother says she is being forced to keep brain-dead pregnant daughter alive under abortion ban law

If it's gonna be just another ward of the state I say terminate.

If they have someone lined up to raise it then bring it to term....Pretty simple stuff....And yes, it can really be decided that easily.

They've been keeping the mother going for three months now. Despite the law in place, I say keep going at this point because it seems obvious that the mother wanted her child so I think she would be in favor of giving him a chance at life. The family, including the child's father can raise the child or place him for adoption.

Btw, the mother wasn't some kid. She was an RN and thirty years old.

There are so many parents that want new borns the list is never ending, but the state makes it ridiculously difficult which is why they often wind up in those hell hole state institutions.

I bet the grandmother does not want another kid to raise.....The article reads like she's raising the other one her daughter had.

And if abortion were made illegal, it would motivate parents that much more to have their children to not have babies out of wedlock. But with the state paying, most simply don't give a damn.

Brain dead Georgia pregnant woman is being forced by the state to remain on life support because of state's ban on abortions. The hospital is keeping her body functioning until the baby can be born despite the wishes of her family.

"It's torture for me," April Newkirk said. "I see my daughter breathing, but she's not there."
Why would she want to kill her grandbaby?

Hmm, 2 things. They plan on keeping her alive for 21 weeks to make sure the baby can live on its own outside the womb? They aren't even sure if the baby will live, but keeping the woman "alive" for 21 weeks (5 MONTHS!!) is immoral, IMO.

2, if the hospital are the ones keeping her alive, or the state, this woman shouldn't be having any bills mounting. It's not her fault they are keeping her daughter alive.

See, this is one of those areas where I think doing the right thing should take precedent.

Feminist women believe they are parthenogenetic. They need no father to reproduce.
As far as I’m concerned, they can actually go **** themselves.
Which has nothing to do with what I said or the situation.

It amazes me that pro abortion people will find the "needle in a haystack", to be for women being allowed to abort.
I was thinking about that after reading this thread.

. . . and the opposite is true as well. The pro-life crowd, or many of them, seem willing to sacrifice the mother, or just let nature take its course if it is a very high risk pregnancy.

So, it made me wonder, if a law maker crafted a compromise bill, to get both sides on board, would they both oppose it, or both endorse it?

Say. . . . any pregnant illegal alien caught in the U.S. would be required to get an abortion. This would fulfill the agenda of both sides, creating death for stem cell companies, and negate the need for deporting birth right citizens.

It would have the added effect of highly discouraging pregnant women who want their children from illegally entering the nation.

Considering it looks like the woman wanted the baby, Not sure if this is the best "LOOK WHAT YOU DID TO US" story abortion right zealots could have come up with.

The Hospital could have asked lawmakers for clarification, or even the local DA, more than likely they are abortion rights supporters who thought they found a story they could use to pursue their agenda.
The right’s war on women continues.

And every time you call them on it by saying, "Okay, let's agree that this extreme case still allows you to kill the innocent child, but we ban the rest of them", they run for the hills, because the extreme cases are not what they're after.

It has everything to do with it. She’s black and three out of four black babies are born out of wedlock. Thank democrat feminist and racist policy.
Her being black is your issue and has no bearing on this situation.
