George W. Bush Visits Fort Hood, Wounded Soldiers

True.. and when that is pointed out I stand against those earmarks too...

Funny.. the GI Bill bill could have simply stood alone and easily passed with bipartisan support... but the lefties decided to include things that they knew would otherwise never pass... which then put many like myself in opposition of the bill

Funny, Diamond Dave made the accusation about earmarks in the GI Bill, so I asked him to NAME 'EM...he couldn't...

Funny, In his opposition to the GI Bill, John McCain only talked about retention issues, BUT let's go with your reason for not supporting our troops...those earmarks

earmarks.gif

The chart serves two purposes... the tiny little red sliver represents those earmarks in the Federal budget, and the tiny little red sliver represents HOW much Bush and McCain care about our troops...

You right wingers support WAR, not troops, the human beings that fight 'em!

When you make this sort of stupidly pathetic and offensive statement, all you demonstrate is that there is no depth to which you will not sink to point score.

It is rare that I resort to actually considering anyone on a forum pondscum - I genuinely believe you are the first. I guess I should congratulate you on being more offensive than total assclowns like Huggy and Gaybiker.

Oh please. The far right does support war over the Troops and that camp has always tried to equate Policy to our Troops by saying anyone who doesn't support our occupations in iraq and afghanistan don't support our Troops. Another glaring piece is keeping our Troops in needless wars. If your camp cared even one millimeter for our Troops you would never support optional wars that force them to die and lose limbs for no viable reason.

Ground Zero - a show of a country united by tragedy. That's what POTUS does.

Idiot. Idiot. Idiot.

So wait a minute here..

You are claiming that President Obama paying his respects to returning dead American hero's is not what a President does? Are you saying it is not a tragedy?

Are you claiming our war dead are not as deserving as 9-11 dead?

What a cold hearted callous ***** you are!

Do please **** off and stop you're stupid accusations.

Did I claim that our war dead are not deserving of honor? No. Actually, I have a rather big dog in that particular hunt - several of them actually. I care far more about our troops that an asshole like you will ever comprehend. *******, *******, ******* idiot. You have absolutely no idea of what you speak.

I think I detect a weasel here....
So now you wrap yourself in the flag while you deny our returning war dead a Presidential honor.

Your hatred of Obama is clouding your reasoning.

President Bush honoring 9-11 is a good thing
so is President Obama honoring our war dead

To spot the weasel, look in the mirror, asshole.

It's pathetic that you think this is about Obama - how very typical that you are too ******* stupid to see past your labels for others. To me, it's personal - not a theoretical debate on a stupid internet forum.

You are a ******* idiot.

Squawk... War is unnecessary... Squawk... Occupation... Squawk.. No Reason.. Squawk

Got anymore left wing talking points you have not spouted off about war??

I'll give you a hint... serve and find out about it.. peace does not come at a kumbaya and ours and our allies freedoms do not come from happy thoughts about puppies and rose petals

Thank you for allowing the opportunity to reveal your integrity on the issue. I'm quite used to the pro war crowd preaching about Serving and often it is done in this context where you assume I have not served. You attempt to silence me on that assumption. I fought in Iraq and celebrated my 20th birthday in the Iraqi desert. It is because I've been in Combat I stress the importance of not sending Troops when it is wholly avoidable. Usually it seriously pisses off the pro war crowd after learning about my Service because it means they need to find a new way to try and ignore what I have to say. Who knows? Maybe you aren't one of those hypocrites and will stay consistent on your mantra of supporting our Troops and respecting Vets?

The fact that President Obama has not yet had the opportunity to visit Ft Hood does not bother me one bit. He is the President for crying out loud and I am sure that when the time is right he will make that visit. I am certain that the U.S. Goverment has and will do what it right by these families.

No amount of "celebrity" visits are going to change what happened or make the families of those lost in this tragedy feel any better and it sure as heck wont bring the dead back to life.

Thank you to President Bush for visiting when you could.

Thank you to President Obama for understanding that there is not anything you can do at this point. Take your time and do this right.

Now that I agree with. I suspect that POTUS would like to visit - and I suspect it is not about a photo op. I think he genuinely cares. He did the right thing on this occasion - although I thought his speech was inappropriately worded - he should have begun his remarks with Ft Hood - not a 'shout out'. Other than that, I have no issue with Obama not having yet visited those affected. It will be much better done when the community is more able to cope with such a visit.

Good for George Bush, I'm sure the troops appreciate it

Now when Obama visits next week are we going to get right wing whining??

Is he going next week??? His response so far has been pathetic. Instead of calling a news conference to address this issue, he talks for 3 minutes congratulating someone and then oh, BTW B.S.

We heard more from him on the beer summit with Prof Gates than we did an attack on U.S citizens, on U.S soil by a terrorist who infiltrated our military. That's pathetic, U.S citizens were murdered in cold blood here, dozens more injured, yet your guy wants to sugar coat this tragedy. Maybe he needs to have another beer summit with the major who killed all those people to see if he can work it out with him. Maybe another apology session is in order. LOL

Bush has already showed he cares. Obama hasn't.

It takes all of 3 hrs for him to take Air Force One down to Ft Hood. The security for the visit wouldn't have taken long to set up. The post is already a controlled location because of ID requirements at the gates. Just adding another level of security is what the Secret Service lives for.

Obama is waiting for the pomp and circumstance that he expects. The cameras and the photo-ops. His greatest worry is that he is not well liked by the military in the first place. I honestly feel he is afraid of what some of them might do to him.

Bush was loved. Surrounding him with soldiers is the safest place he could be. Not Obama. Especially after his long drawn-out deliberations on the war.

Is there any evidence backing up the charge a terrorist infiltrated our military or is this typical American ignorance wrapped over with self-righteous indignation?

Last time i check, Martin Luther King didn't tell his followers to kill themselves for the black man. Obviously it allowed for the end of segregation. Of course, MLK took a bullet to the head. But he didn't provoke violence the way that Middle Easterners have no problem doing.

If bush cared about dead and wounded troops he would have never allowed Cheney to turn his Presidential Administration into his personal puppet.

As for obushama, good grief.....can't you find anything worthy to criticize him on? He's a huge sell-out but you give his supporters moral support when you focus on stuff like this.

What ******* rock are you trapped under? Are you aware that 13 years ago our US government made an international public admission we were responsible for about 500,000 deaths in Iraq alone?

Sorry if the truth bothers you.

Bush did what he felt was right....Obama doesn't.

The war on terror killed or captured 70% of Al Qaeda's leadership and killed or captured thousands of it's members.

Now the neglect of Obama is allowing them to rearm and rebuild. Much like his other Democrat predecessor Bill Clinton....better known as Stimulus Bill.

His Remarks Following the Shout-out is yet another Example of what he is...

I didn't get an e-mail from his People ALL Weekend about this Tragedy, yet I got at least (3) about his ObamaCare...

It's Obvious what his Priorities are.

:)

peace...

So even when the video evidence is available all you can do is ignore facts and make childish remarks?

What the **** are you talking about? One of the first things Obushama did was send an additional 20,000 Troops to afghanistan.

Then you pull some stupid ass numbers out of the air? The WOT is a myth designed to keep weak minded Americans in fear while using it to justify our imperialism. That's why the bush admin never got bin laden and why they focused more on iraq than anything else. Our government thrives on American ignorance and it needs attacks to keep people like you afraid. That's why the pro-government media is trying to tie hasan to alkida and 9E. There will be a larger attack because 9E was so long ago and Americans need to be reminded why we send our Troops into bullshit wars.
