Not only are you right but I would go a little bit further and say that the first half of the 20th century was pretty dark for most Europeans.

America was not inflicting an illegal military occupation of Japan on 7 December 1941. That was a conflict between two sovereign states which is not the case in Palestine.

Israel was and is subjecting Gaza and the West Bank to an illegal military occupation that has lasted 57 years.

International law gives Hamas the right to violently resist Israel's illegal occupation.

End the occupation and Hamas ends its resistance.
