Good post! The "powers that be" are using every tool in the toolbox to divide "the people". It's up to you to recognize it and not fall the manipulation techniques.

When I was a juvie, I thought the old people of my time were offensive as well.

I don't see us as the most selfish generation. Possibly the most successful, but I believe that is the result of the Baby Boomer work ethic and drive for success.

That's part of the reason. I think there are two other reasons: the country was mostly white and also there were more young people and fewer elderly people who needed to be supported.

It really is not difficult to find out why a country is/was prosperous.
