No they're not really political, its just a blatant and disrespectful way of spreading and promoting homosexual sex. Gay pride is all about being proud of having another man put their penis in another man's rectum, is that something to be proud about? Parades celebrating gay sex should *NOT* be allowed.

well that is the difference between a SF type parade and most other gay marches....the Frisco type parades turn many non-gays against them....while the other ones are much more serious...IMO

In Seattle we have a very different view on the whole thing, and it keeps tensions very low except for a few who just for some reason can't have any fun without it being political. It's quite fun actually, almost the whole city turns out to watch the parade and the fair is usually packed, it also brings in huge revenue from the nearby cities. A lot of it's because as I stated earlier in the thread, many of us are no longer calling it "Gay Pride Day", we now call it just "Pride Day" and include everyone, and invite everyone to take pride in who they are.

However the Pride Parades do not normally allow any actual sex and rarely mention sex as part of their pageantry, if they do in your area then you should contact their funding organizations and inform them. It's suppose to be PG-13 and all I have seen are PG-13 in most cities.

Regardless of straight or gay sexual explicit mannerisms belong to a personal choice. One can turn off the tv or not have one at all if they don't like it. The same goes for a computer.

Anyone who puts themselves or their personal preferences into the public eye is subject to public scrutiny. They are also subject to the rules set by what is deemed appropriate in a public setting.

If I tell you I am a Christian you also obviously have the right to scrutinize my beliefs giving your own personal opinion.

When it comes to public display and another wants to flaunt their sexual beliefs or their religious beliefs either one, there are limits set on how far either can go. The difference is one group stays fully dressed while the other group does not.

When it comes to public policy on public property or in public view the majority has the right to set the rules.

Granted it has been cleaned up in some areas KK but not all. If they want to have pagentry it really is simple get a room or rent a stadium or an auditorium.
