Gas Prices: Where are all the threads?

If we go to war we will need it all. And thanks to Incest Joe we are very close to that.
Russia was stronger after 4 years of Trump. Russia is weaker after just 3 of Biden. They are world pariahs with a crashed economy and a weakened military. Trump praised them daily and had them in his inner circle.

Iran was also broke when trump was president.

Solar is widely used in Hawaii and Israel... It has its uses in diversifying power sources. KSA has whole Villages off grid.
Think Solar and wind could power every grid in the USA? 100%?

What is it that makes you think I am a "greenie"?
Anyone who talks about the Fake "Global Warming" is a Greenie. Fact is ,I like clean water and air. No litter. No ground pollution. Smoke free. But I'm not gonna try to scare folks to death about it with End of the World buffoonery. I'd like the environment cleaned up for its own sake. Not for chicken little BS.

My view of climate change...taken from previous post I made.

.....

Bottom line, the climate is changing. Anyone that denies that is a moron.

Is it natural change, man made? A mix of both? Who knows and who really cares.

Going along with the points in the OP, even if it was proven 100% beyond any shadow of any doubt that humans are responsible, we are not going to make the changes necessary to stop it.

Thus the fight over the cause is stupid and harmful as it slows the work to mitigate the damage form the changes and get as much out of the positives of it that we can.

But, in the current political environment we will never be able to do that, too many people would rather win an argument on line than do anything that might help

.......

Sorry, but the climate is always in a state of flux and always changing.

One example of the changes.

In my neck of the woods we have seen the rain patterns change over the last 20 years or so. We are getting about the same amount of rain per month, but we are getting it in less days, as when it rains it rains longer and harder but then there are more days in-between without rain. Not a huge big deal unless you happen to be a grain farmer. Too much rain at one time is bad, too long between rains is bad. Thus there has been a push by the farmers to add both tiling to deal with the extra water runoff and irrigation to deal with the extra days between rain. Some have even given up part of their cropland to build ponds to direct the runoff from the extra rain to use for their irrigation. The farmers do not have the luxury to fight about what is causing the change, they had to do something to mitigate it or risk losing their livelihood.

People have to deal with changing circumstances. Ever thought of how much Tundra land will become Grassland or farm land if it DOES get warmer?

And how much grass land will become unusable for planting crops.

But yes, people have to deal with the changing circumstances, and the biggest problem with the stupid ass fight over what is causing things to change is that people are not prepare for those changes because as soon as one says that the climate is changing they are labeled a greenie.

There is no WAY ,at present ,to change the weather. Land lost? Central Africa? Who cares? The Amazon Jungle? It will just grow faster. But Siberia and North Canada has MILLIONS of square miles of Tundra that a warmer climate would turn into grazing and farm land.

Correct, all we can do is prepare for the changes to come.

Land lost? Central Africa? Who cares? The Amazon Jungle? It will just grow faster.

How about the southeastern part of America and then the mid-west that is currently the breadbasket for the world.

But Siberia and North Canada has MILLIONS of square miles of Tundra that a warmer climate would turn into grazing and farm land.

Yep, it will all spell the end of the American dominance of agriculture. That will not be an easy piece to replace.

How do you figure? A longer growing season is harmful? Also ,why not grow Veggies and fruit? Much healthier than Grain.

There is a reason that grain is grown in the mid-west and not the south, the south is not the right environment for it.

So, when the mid-west is like the south is now, grain will not grow well there.

Sure, a farmer that has been growing grain for 5 generations will just hop over to veggies and fruit, I am sure the same equipment will work! :laughing0301: :laughing0301: :laughing0301: :laughing0301: :auiqs.jpg: :auiqs.jpg: :auiqs.jpg: :auiqs.jpg:

Try THIS. The so-called warming will take 50 years .About. Are you saying that Farmers are incapable of learning to grow different crops? During the GRADUAL change?

It is about more than "learning". It is about the weather being right for the new crops, it is about having the equipment for the new crops, it is about having the manpower for the new crops. A single farmer with a good combine can till, plant and harvest 500 to 1000 acres of corn or soybeans. The same cannot be said of most fruits or veggies.

And then is there a market for them, there are 10 million acres of soybeans just in the state of Illinois.

Think Solar and wind could power every grid in the USA? 100%?

That's not the objective. Solar can and will diversity power sources. It's great for hot water and exterior lighting... Obviously won't power automobiles or make asphalt, fertilizer or tires. Sorry to talk to you like you're an idiot.

Prices even cheaper on my drive back to Charlotte yesterday.... I paid $3.05 for gas twice. Whoo hooo. Thank you Biden. Clearly he was working on gas prices and not debate prep! Better for my pocketbook anyway.
