Average gas prices lowest in 5 years

Link to these increased taxes and specifically where
In Massachusetts, the gasoline tax is primarily composed of the state's Motor Fuels tax of $0.24 per gallon and the state sales tax of 6.25% on the price of fuel at the pump, though the sales tax is a percentage and not a fixed amount per gallon. The Massachusetts Department of Revenue also collects an additional, albeit small, sales tax of 7.5% in the Boston Metropolitan area, which also applies to fuel purchased in that region.

Now don't be lazy.....Massachusetts is mild compared to some. Get your Google going buddy.

The point my stupid friend (actually dishonest) is that you claimed these taxes were recently increased which caused the resultant gas price increases

NOT that taxes exist.

Nope... Didn't say that..... They go up and down all the time.... That's what I said. However when they change they usually go up ....very rarely do they go the other way. Dishonesty is not including those additional taxes and fees.

I’m just amazed at how clueless so many of these posters are
They are not clueless they know where all the facts are and cherry pick the ones they want to use. The most recent exchange I had above was with a person who knows very well what the score is on this stuff but will gladly hide behind a misconception created by Cherry picked components to see whether or not you will come back with the actual information. If not they will continue to build a misconception based on political expediency even if it is contrary to the facts.

In other words they purposely spread propaganda and misinformation…and ignore reality and facts that undermine their party’s fake narrative

So this “lowest gas price in yada yada years” is actually within a couple cents of what it’s been for theee years

Got it

Wow . A-penny increase in one state

Nice fail
Actually 6 states had increases

Then a number of others had automatic statutory increases

This is easy info to gather if you were interested. Even with all these the avg price per gallon is down to a five year low

Locally in my city the city also taxes the gas pump. It's an on and off thing depending on what they need for revenue but lately it's been on all the time. That's the way it is with most interim taxes, they sooner or later become permanent.

Oddly you can’t show it with a link
