Gas prices $2.60 near me - Righty narratives flop

As we select the next President today lets all thank Joe for low gas prices.

  • Guess it wasn’t the keystone pipeline
  • Guess Joe didn’t destroy the oil industry
  • Guess fuel prices didnt drive up inflation since they are so low now and prices are still up there
Looks like every single narrative of the right wing liars has fallen on its proverbial face.

How is that you lie continually ?

Gas prices always go soft this time of year. They always have.

So you agree the governors over reacted shutting down the country? hmmmmm you should tell them
I think Trump underacted to protect the country and we paid dearly with a bad economy and dead folks. Riffing about disinfectant, lightbulbs, saying it would disappear this weekend/summer/like magic was a disaster we all suffered from. Fuck him.

Exactly. Doing the weave, in the face of a worldwide pandemic is a recipe for disaster.

The last November, pre-covid in 2019 it was about the same as now. Awesome.
I just think the US shouldn't be dependent on Oil from the Middle East, and elsewhere. We have plenty of resources here. Like in Texas and other states. I am all for the Keystone Pipeline! We need to stop being dependent on other nations. JMO

Not a covid thread and I dont want to turn it into one. Lets just agree that he never had a plan and just winged it every week. The only thing that worked was the private industry development of a vaccine.

why'd you bring it up then?

90% of our imports come from Mexico and Canada and its because our refineries use heavy crude and we have light crude.

Those consumers don’t bring money with them, or not much. That money is already in the economy

Christ you are stupid
Nope money is Govt printed and they are consumers. You’re the idiot

$4.19 here at the Shell station for the 93 octane.

Sounds like you guys are all buying the 87 octane.

The dialogue invoked in the OP is comparable to when government claims that the cost of living is down when what they're actually doing is changing the way they measure the CPI by substituting the cost of steak with the cost of hamburger because so few can afford steak now.

And the nall of the dialogue that follows is based on the cost of the hamburger instead of the steak.

So, yeah, same model with the narrative being benchmarked on the regular, watered down, 87 octane convenience store gas mixed for for mostly Asian four bangers instead of the 93 octane shit that's mixed for good old American muscle.

Actually it's not what Trump did, which was ignore the problem. It's what he didn't do, which was to actually make a plan to handle the pandemic.

Trumps plan was "ignore it, and it will go away by itself."

Not a good plan.
