It was in Texas and it was worse than todays flooding.

Further south in Texas, the Brazos River and Colorado River overflowed their banks and joined, thereby changing the course of the river and killing 172 people. Recognizing the dire need to curb the unpredictability of the Brazos River, the Brazos River and Valley Improvement Association formed in 1915. Though the association met with the federal Committee on Flood Control on several occasions, the reach of its efforts was limited by its lack of funding.

Very cool pics from Junction!!!
Lived on the S. Llano about 12 miles south of Junction for many years.
We'd get around 18 inches of rain a year but it would fall in 9 inch increments twice a year.
We'd get a call from upstream from the neighbors telling us to get ready because it's a coming!
You watched the river go from two feet to twenty in about two hours.
You could feel the boulders going down river in your feet.
