The problem with Joe Biden isn't that he's a leftist. Every single Democrat is. No, the real problem with this guy is that he clearly has no idea what he's talking about. Politics, history, race relations... it doesn't matter. Imagine a subject and realize: Biden has little to no knowledge about it.

That would be perfectly fine if he were, say, a truck driver. Sadly, however, Biden is a) a former senator, b) a former vice president and c) the frontrunner for the Democratic presidential nomination.

As we reported yesterday, Biden was in New Hampshire on Friday to promote his campaign. Sorry: to talk to voters. Ha. During that campaign stop, he made a couple of gaffes, among which was him saying that premiums would go up under his health care plan and him wondering what it would have been like if Barack Obama had been assassinated in 2008.

That wasn't all, however. As the Washington Examiner explains, he also claimed that over 40 students were shot during an anti-Vietnam War protest at Kent State University back in 1970.

Biden didn't used to make all these blunders, and his procurement of a career for his son in a foreign country, using his power as Vice President to institute an ultimatum against the foreigner being blackmailed tells me has has had an abrupt change of personality when it comes to management of one's life.

These are symptoms of mental deterioration that may or may not be helped by brain chemicals being offered due to research in dementia and Alzheimer disease.

It depends on how far down the chain he has gone that will determine his loss of reckoning, and whether he can get it back. Either he is not seeking help, or if he is on a program, he's so far gone he needs to be gently taken aside and told it's time to retire from public life.

Until we know, I'd rather he not pursue the presidency for his own sake and that of his family. I know abuse of power is an ugly thing when it comes to the public's attention, but because we are a merciful people in America, we need to deal gently but firmly with the former Vice President to prevent him from further severe error making if he is too ill to keep his apples in a row.

I see that as his party's responsibility. If the Democrats do not resolve his error-making, his family needs to intervene in his behalf on account of the issue of his mental improprieties causing him a lot of problems. His problems cannot be America's problem unless the voters want that. I don't think voters want to watch as a politician tailspins himself into total humiliation. It just is not fitting.

Video of the exchange shows Biden remarking about Vermont's "beauty" after an unseen reporter asks him for his "impression" of the town, which is located in southeastern New Hampshire, close to the state's border with Vermont.
