Where are they gonna go? Arkansas and Mississippi don't want them and will not take them. The place is a welfare black hole and a violent crime center.

Memphis is one of two cities that gave me the creeps driving thru it. The other was New Orleans CBD. Was there just before Katrina. We were headed back to the hotel. I10 south was stopped so I jogged over into the neighborhood bordering it being only a couple blocks from the hotel. It was like driving thru a time portal. Junk cars everywhere, Homes that had not been kept up. Sullen people on the porches sizing you up........

Mississippi is more conservative....total red state. Arkansas too far away.

The Native Americans on the reservation don't want them either. They just want their casinos.

And Memphis is on the Mississippi River....the areas in the "bottoms" has always been nasty sludge....and the people there resemble the environment.

The docks there bring in all sorts of inexpensive goods...good stuff. Top shelf goods at low prices....depending on what comes in by barge. The telecom there is poor though....no switches.

A loose coalition of a confederate country would reduce the pressures and then show us the realities of who is really stealing the money in all ways. Went to a college in Indiana that had an outreach program. We went to Gary once. I was engrossed in a conversation with one of the residents and didn't notice what time it was and got left behind. So I'm walking back to the dorms....didn't know how far away they were. This was before cell phones. So I'm walking along and a cop pulls up and asks if I'm trying to commit suicide. Told me to get in and drove me back to the school.
