Sounds funny, but geese have been used effectively for security on US installations in Germany. Geese take minimal care, they're noisy and they can't be bought off. LOL.
the U.S. military used geese for perimeter security at various installations in Germany during the Cold War, as they were effective at alerting personnel to intruders. These guard geese were considered a cost-effective alternative to dogs and required minimal maintenance. Military A-Z Animals
