From this point on the proverbial handwriting was on the wall.

Debra Houry completed her undergraduate degree at Emory University in 1994 with a double major in biology and philosophy. She also volunteered at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta at Egleston and worked as a house staff assistant at Grady Hospital. From Emory, Houry entered the dual medical degree and MPH program at Tulane University. Following this, she trained in emergency medicine at Denver Health Medical Center and received the Council of Emergency Medicine Residency Directors Resident Academic Achievement Award.
A policy wonk.

Never let people like that make medical decisions for you.

It's bad for your health.

CDC director tells staff 'misinformation can be dangerous' in agency meeting

Oooops, you can't say that and remain a member of this government. The WaPo is reporting she is out just a few weeks after her confirmation. Of course she is. Misinformation is what happens when RFK opens his mouth.

The CDC, in collusion with Joe Biden and the Democrat media, killed 700,000 Americans with their lies about the vaccine.

You believe in lies. It's tremendously unfortunate.

That's a meme. Any hope for the future success of the nation relies on diminishing the damage done by trump to the greatest extent possible.
Real world change happens because of political tensions. Think of how bigly things will change after Trump leaves office with all this tension you are fretting about.....again assuming the DNC doesn't nominate Harris.

This fiasco wasn't about "political tensions." It was about a recognition of, and decisions based on, the best available science. Monarez refused to give in to RFK's quackery and got fired for it. Full stop.

We are all replaceable, including RFK

The more salient point is he should not have been nominated or confirmed. I hope Bill Cassidy pays a price for his vote.

The loss of those respected leaders and efforts to oust Monarez follow a string of measures by Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. – a prominent vaccine skeptic – to overhaul federal health agencies and change immunization policy in the U.S. That includes mass firings, gutting a key government vaccine panel, canceling studies on mRNA shot technology and hiring those with like-minded views.

Kennedy has a long track record of making misleading and false statements about the safety of vaccine shots, but in his current role, he wields enormous power over the agencies that regulate the immunizations and determine both who can get them and which ones insurance plans should cover.

Dr. Georges Benjamin, executive director of the American Public Health Association, said the leadership overhaul at the CDC represents Kennedy’s “failed leadership and reckless mismanagement,” adding that he has a “blatant disregard for science and evidence-based public health.”

I'm not being hyperbolic when I say this, I'm making an observation based on RFK's actions. He is deranged.

Later that month, Trump announced his plans to nominate Monarez in a social media post.

“Dr. Monarez brings decades of experience championing Innovation, Transparency, and strong Public Health Systems,” Trump wrote. “She has a Ph.D. from the University of Wisconsin, and PostDoctoral training in Microbiology and Immunology at Stanford University School of Medicine.

“As an incredible mother and dedicated public servant, Dr. Monarez understands the importance of protecting our children, our communities, and our future. Americans have lost confidence in the CDC due to political bias and disastrous mismanagement. Dr. Monarez will work closely with our GREAT Secretary of Health and Human Services, Robert Kennedy Jr. Together, they will prioritize Accountability, High Standards, and Disease Prevention to finally address the Chronic Disease Epidemic and, MAKE AMERICA HEALTHY AGAIN!”

Dotard sure is fickle.

As "they" have decided not to teach script any more, no one can read the handwriting on the wall.

"They" have? Why? Lessons taught in a church aren't being restricted are they? You just can teach religion in public schools cuz of that whole church/state separation, Establishment Clause thing.

RFK Jr. deputy Jim O'Neill picked to temporarily lead CDC after former head Susan Monarez's ouster

Jim O'Neill has been chosen to serve as acting director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, a source familiar with the matter confirmed Thursday — one day after the CDC's Senate-confirmed leader was ousted.

A former tech investor, O'Neill currently serves as deputy secretary of Health and Human Services, working under HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. Kennedy confirmed O'Neill's appointment in a message to CDC staff obtained by CBS News, saying he hopes to "rebuild this institution into what it was always meant to be: a guardian of America's health and security."

Shouldn't the folks leading the CDC have a background in medical science like the folks who resigned in protest?

An article I just read at CNBC says four other officials resigned. In doesn't say whether o resignations were forced or done in protest. Just another example of trump's minions weakening the country.
Was the article you claimed you read on CNBC confirmed by "Rawstory"?

Meanwhile, four other top health officials at the CDC announced Wednesday they were quitting the agency. That includes Demetre Daskalakis, director of the National Center for Immunization and Respiratory Diseases, who said he could no longer serve because of the “weaponizing of public health.”
