"Freedom is Always the Freedom of the One Who Thinks Differently."

John Mearsheimer's AI takes it one step further:

"The United States' entry into World War I was pivotal in shifting the balance against Germany.

"As I noted in 'The Tragedy of Great Power Politics,' without American intervention, Germany might have defeated the British and French forces in 1918.

"The U.S. involvement was crucial in preventing Germany from imposing an armistice on France."

And who knows if we would have had something worse than Nazis come out of that?

By this account that would have depended on which kind of Germany won the "War to End All Wars."

What if the Germans had won the first world war? | Martin Kettle

"But what kind of Germany?

"The militaristic, conservative, repressive Prussian power created by Bismarck?

"Or the Germany with the largest labour movement in early 20th-century Europe?

"German history after 1918 would have been a contest between the two – and no one can say which would have won in the end.

"But one can say that a victorious Germany, imposing peace on the defeated allies at the treaty of Potsdam, would not have had the reparations and grievances that were actually inflicted upon it by France at Versailles.

"As a consequence, the rise of Hitler would have been much less likely. In that case, neither the Holocaust nor the second world war would necessarily have followed."

They would have won the war. That would have ended pretty much any widespread support for communist agitators.

Democrats used bogus documents to impeach Trump. Hillary and Hussein weaponized the FBI and the CIA to create a bogus "Russian collusion" that did not exist. They indicted him with (promised) frivolous tax related evidence. So-called "intelligence officers" signed a document that claimed that Hunter's laptop was a Russian plant. Democrats used a bogus search warrant to invade Trump's home in Florida and intimidate him and his wife. When it didn't work somehow an assassin got close enough in Butler, Ps. to kill him.

Before Trump Republicans were pseudo-conservatives. Trump unleashed "Populism".
Name any politician in the history of the world who needed majority support that did not run on 'populism.' I'll probably still be around when/if you finally find one as it will take you awhile.

Imagine a MAGA thinking for themselves. Wouldn't THAT be something!
No need to. They already have the answers to the questions. Those answers were provided by the education and values instilled in them by their parents, family and community as they grew up.

We’d be far better off if more people thought that way as well.

If you had to guess who wrote the words "freedom is always the freedom of the one who thinks differently," between the following choices:

Chris Hedges?

Ben Shapiro?

Rosa Luxemburg?

Who would you select?

"While in prison, Rosa continued to write.

"Friends secretly smuggled her articles out.

"One of her famous writings was The Russian Revolution. In it, she criticized the Bolsheviks for trying to create a totalitarian one-party state. She wrote: 'Freedom is always the freedom of the one who thinks differently.'"

Rosa Luxemburg was among the first women in the world to get a doctorate degree in Economics.
She also believed strongly in democracy and the need for revolution, believing any truly democratic society required freedom of speech and assembly.

"She criticized the early Russian Revolution for being undemocratic.

"She wrote: 'Without general elections, without unrestricted freedom of press and assembly, without a free struggle of opinion, life dies out in every public institution.'

"She believed that without these freedoms, public life would become dull and controlled by a small group of leaders."

"Rosa was a powerful speaker.

"She argued that the difference between capital (money/resources) and labor (workers) could only be fixed if workers took power.

"She wanted big changes in how things were produced.

"From 1900, Rosa wrote about Europe’s social and economic problems.

"She saw war coming and strongly criticized German militarism (building up military power) and imperialism (extending a country’s power).

"She wanted a general strike to stop the war."
