Free Palestine

This thread has become trite and devolved into nonsense person attacks.
So I must take my leave. ... :bye1:

What you couldn't find 'Palestine' in the Qur'an?

Sad...

Hmmm! No mention of Palestine. No mention of Jerusalem. But Israel is stealing "their land." Go figure Palestinian mentality.

The whole story was fabricated when the Caliph of Mecca banned Muslims in Levant from attending the Hijra in Mecca for having a tendency to arrive drunk.

After advice the rulers in Damascus ordered to find an exchange, and a convenient story was tailored. This is known from early Arab historians themselves, not to mention the Muslim scholars who at the time scorned any notion of the city's importance to them.

Simply put, they're going against the will of Allah.

Jerusalem had zero sanctity in early Islam, evidenced by the complete absence of it in the Koran. Jerusalem appears 700+ times in the Jewish Bible. Also, Jerusalem has never been an Islamic capital, while Jerusalem has been Jews’ Capital since long before Muslims even existed.

Interestingly, early Arab Muslims referred to Jerusalem by its pagan Roman name Aelia, arabized as Iliya. Not very sacred, after all.

Yes, in fact the only city Arabs built in the land, Ramla was built as Caliphate's administrative military center, instead of Jerusalem, leaving it in the periphery.

The site was virtually abandoned by Muslims at the turn of the century,
until Jews started vastly rebuilding the land upon return.

Ramle and also Lydda were administrative centers—Jerusalem didn’t even have that lowly status for Muslims.

A well-known Islamic account has the Muslim geographer al-Maqdisi revealing that the reasons for construction of Aqsa mosque and Dome of the Rock were more political than religious: To distract Muslims from admiring the Christian churches and to proclaim Islam’s conquest over Christianity. Thus, the golden Islamic dome intentionally overshadowing the smaller dome of the Church of the Holy Sepulchre—Domes are not Islamic architecturally.

As prominent Arab historian George Antonius notes, Palestine was a foreign creation, causing the dismemberment of Syria...

A legal entity is a legal construct through which the law allows a group of natural persons to act as if they were a single person for certain purposes.
(COMMENT)

Yes, and that is what exactly happened! The "National Council for the Jewish State" acted
(as a single person for certain purposes) on behalf of the Jewish People to establish the Jewish National Home, known as the State of Israel.

As usual, the Arab Palestinians did nothing for 40 years.

2. After the 15th May, 1948, Palestine will continue to be a legal entity but it will still not be a sovereign state because it will not be immediately self-governing. The authority responsible for its administration will, however, have changed.

Palestine was not self governing because it was to be administered by the UNPC. The UNPC did not take that position.

So Palestine's reason to not be self governing did not happen.

Palestine was Britain’s name for the British Mandate which led to Israeli statehood. Had Jews not pressed the British for a state, there would not be any place “palestine.” British Mandate incorporates the Balfour Declaration calling for a Jewish National Home. It would have been Syria in its entirety.

(COMMENT)

At the time the Briitish Memo was written (PAL/138 • 27 February 1948), the Palestine Commission (UNPC) was already taking steps to establish a governmental framework. The Arab High Committee declined to work with the UNPC in the same manner as the Jewish Agency and the National Council for the Jewish State. On the immediate termination of the Mandate, the UNPC cooperated with the establishment of the Jewish State.
EXCERPT • PAL 169 • 17 May 1948 said:
During today's brief meeting, Dr. Eduardo Morgan (Panama) said that this resolution of the Assembly merely "relieves responsibility. The Commission has not been dissolved. In fact the resolution of last November 29 has been implemented."
The UNPC, and with the full knowledge of the British Government, took the position that they would immediately start work on the necessary nuts and bolts of the impending bid for independence.
EXCERPT • A/AC.21/7 • 29 January 1948 • First Monthly Progress Report (UNPC) said:
The text of this resolution was communicated by the Secretary-General on 9 January to the Government of the United Kingdom, as the Mandatory Power, to the Arab Higher Committee, and to the Jewish Agency for Palestine. The invitation extended by the resolution was promptly accepted by the Government of the United Kingdom and by the Jewish Agency for Palestine, both of which designated representatives to assist the commission. The representative designated by the Government of the United Kingdom was Sir Alexander Cadogan. The representative designated by the Jewish Agency for Palestine was Mr. Moshe Shertok. As regards the Arab Higher Committee, the following telegraphic response was received by the Secretary-General on 19 January:
  • “ARAB HIGHER COMMITTEE IS DETERMINED PERSIST IN REJECTION PARTITION AND IN REFUSAL RECOGNIZE UNO RESOLUTION THIS RESPECT AND ANYTHING DERIVING THEREFROM. FOR THESE REASONS IT IS UNABLE ACCEPT INVITATION”

But I think you know all this. This imitation of an Ostrich (So Palestine's reason to not be self governing did not happen) is so much misinformation and deception. It is a matter of historical record.

All this harping and struggle by the Arab Palestinian, who failed or rejected the many opportunities to contribute productively towards the establishment of an Arab State for the Palestinians, leads to the consequences they face today. They did not just shoot themselves in the foot. They damn near committed political suicide. And for the moment, we don't know if the patient is going to live through it; because they are still on the operating table. Suppose this late
EXCERPT • ICC Pre-Trail Chamber I • RQAI RFI No.ICC-01/18 • Date: 26 May 2020. said:
6. The Chamber requests Palestine to provide additional information on this statement, including the question whether it pertains to any of the Oslo agreements between Palestine and Israel, by no later than 10 June 2020.
7. In addition, the Chamber orders the Prosecutor and invites Israel to respond to any additional information submitted by Palestine by no later than 24 June 2020.
